As soon as they returned home, they were able to rest, Theo was the only one who felt tired and had pain in his legs after the walk, but he was happy with the loot he got from this battle. A lot of wood as well as some stones and some iron tools and weapons that were the first time he had seen, apart from the swords of his warrior units. In addition, there were the books that he found, and he would soon discover what they were for.

At night, after dinner, Theo lay down on his bed to rest, Cooper was next to him, and he was almost asleep. Then he took out one of the books from his inventory, and to his surprise, it was in a completely new and unknown language for him, but he could still understand everything.

He thought it was one of the system's features that automatically translated everything he saw in his mind, so he could understand it without any problems. So he started reading and soon realized it was a book of children's stories, which described some tales about monsters and heroes, wars between kingdoms, and also the arrival of many, many different races in the world.

Theo then realized that these stories could very well have been events that happened many years ago and that people had already forgotten about them and were now being told as tales to children. After reading for some time, he found a story that interested him a lot, it was about a forest that was cursed for having a temple dedicated to a dark God. Many heroes tried to reach the center of the forest, but none succeeded because there were many villages of different races, including elves, werewolves, and demons.

As soon as Theo finished reading this story, he became intrigued, wanting to know if the forest where he was now was the same as the one in the story. After that, he went to sleep, but he couldn't stop thinking about the story he read.

When morning came, he did his morning ritual, gaining his first Ghoul.

Theo was happy to have yet another elite unit, so he left the mausoleum after giving orders to Amethyst to organize a function for this new unit. He then called Alika and began to ask her the questions that hadn't left his head since the previous night, whether this was really the forest in the story. If she knew about the events of the past and if there had ever been anything like the current survival game he was playing.

After a few hours of talking, he discovered that she didn't know anything about it, but that perhaps her elders could know since they had been alive much longer. So, after learning this, he decided it was a mission he needed to complete, going to the elf village to find out more about the events of the past and get more information about the temple deep in the forest.

Amethyst soon returned, telling Theo that the scout had found a lord's camp less than 5 kilometers from his and that his units appeared to be war wolves that could serve as mounts. This made Theo excited, because if there was anything he wanted at that moment, it was a mount, so he could move through the forest and attack villages more quickly.

This time, Theo would not participate in the attack, he would stay at his house and read the other books he found in the goblin village. He considered that they could be used as books, telling a little of the history of this world. So he ordered his death knight to go and command the troops in his place, and then bring one of the wolves to serve as his mount once the fighting was over.

After the units left, Theo received a visit from Kornel, his subordinate wanted to ask him why he couldn't go with the troops into battle. So he explained it to him.

"I prefer to have you with me, while I haven't trained my new Tank skeleton yet, so I'm sure that even if another lord with light powers arrives and decimates my units, I'll still have protection." Theo told him.

"After this explanation, everything now makes sense to me, sir. Sorry to bother you." Kornel said, then left.

On this trip the death knight had more than one mission, they were: commanding the troops, bringing back a mount for Theo and training the skeleton Tank.

The most difficult would be the training, as he had no idea how it should be done and simply ordered the knight to make this skeleton a shield unit. That would protect him from anything, even if he died in the process. Because it was made from another player's body, Theo was afraid that some primitive human instincts were still clinging to the soul that controlled the skeleton's body, making the skeleton hesitate when it came to protecting him.

The other books were mostly books talking about the different plants of this world and how to use them, or about the animals that inhabited different regions. Theo gave the plant books to Alika and the animal books to Amethyst, always explaining the level of danger for each of the illustrations, for the latter. Despite not being able to read, Alika knew many of the plants in the images, and it was only when she found a new plant that she knew. But she didn't know its name or use, would she ask Theo to explain it to her.

When it was almost dark, the death knight returned, bringing with him a war wolf, a fierce warrior. His fur was black as night, but marked by scars from past battles. His eyes were yellow like fire, and his fang gleamed like steel. It measured 1 meter tall when on all four legs, but could stand on its hind legs to attack its enemies, reaching 2 meters.

Theo approached them and could see the wolf looking at him with aggression and suspicion, but he paid no attention and looked at his rider. So he got off his horse, stood in front of the wolf, and gave him a fierce look. As soon as this happened, the wolf moved away from his rider and stood in front of Theo and bowed, with that Theo approached, placed his hand on the wolf's head, and gave him a name.

Theo's eyes shone with joy at now having a mount, but soon his expression went from proud to astonished as many other wolves came towards their camp with their skeletons riding them. When he saw this, he understood that they had subdued not just one, but all of the wolves in the enemy player's camp and it was a marvel.
