"That's right, I'm Kocho Kanae's little sister, Kocho Shinobu. I have heard everything from Nee-san."
"You saved Nee-san's life from the Twelve Demon Moon and brought her to the Butterfly Mansion."
"I'm very grateful for it all."
The petite girl named Shinobu expressed her gratitude. His only family left was his older sister, knowing that his big sister had almost been killed made her very anxious.
"No need, I just happened to be passing by." Rio said without changing his expression.
Shinobu couldn't judge whether the other party was lying or telling the truth because the other party's expression was always flat.
"You saving Nee-san remains a fact, I'm grateful for that."
Seeing Rio looking unconcerned, Shinobu didn't bother anymore, after conveying her intentions, she left the room.
Rio lay back on the bed and fell asleep. Since only Quest 2 had not been completed, he didn't need to rush, right now he wanted to enjoy this relaxing time.
Time flies fast, unknowingly 4 days have passed...
During these 4 days, Rio got to know another little girl in the Butterfly Mansion besides Nakahara Sumi.
Terauchi Kiyo and Takada Naho are members of Kakushi just like Nakahara Sumi. The three of them come to Rio's treatment room every day, whether it's bringing food, medicine or accompanying them to the toilet.
After 4 days of treatment, now Rio has fully recovered!
Rio was currently standing in the courtyard of the Butterfly Mansion still wearing the patient uniform.
Standing on a pile of snow, Rio enjoyed a cool breeze that refreshed his mind.
"Aren't you cold Demon Slayer-san?"
From behind, the soft and sweet voice of a female voice was heard.
Rio didn't turn around, he recognized a female voice and asked:
"Has your injury healed, Kocho Kanae?"
"I have fully recovered."
Kanae walked over, standing beside Rio, she watched the snowflakes falling from the sky.
"I still don't know your name." Kanae asked breaking the silence.
"Do I need to say my name?" Rio had no intention of revealing his real name.
"It's true… Sumi-chan, Kiyo-chan, and Naho-chan said you always dodged whenever they asked your name, so they called you Demon Slayer-san."
"Why don't you want your name to be known by others?"
Kanae looked at the white-haired youth beside her, the snowflakes falling on the youth's white hair became a natural aesthetic.
Remembering the words of the young man in front of her and risking it for herself, a blush appeared on Kanae's face.
"My name doesn't matter." Rio replied with no emotion in his tone of voice.
Seeing that the other party was still refusing to say his name, Kanae thought of an idea for the other party to say his name.
With a smile on her face, Kanae said: "Ara Ara... Isn't Demon Slayer-san willing to accept a promotion? How can I report your achievements to Oyakata-sama, if I don't know your name."
Rio was silent, after thinking about what Kanae said, he felt there was a point.
"That makes sense, my name is Itsuka Shin." Rio lied without guilt.
"Itsuka… Shin…" Kanae repeated the name.
"Shin which means humble… Shin-kun doesn't look like a humble person."
What Kanae didn't know, Itsuka Shin was nothing more than a fake name that Rio came up with carelessly.
"So, when will I receive a promotion? I have now recovered, I want to hunt Demons as soon as possible."
Rio wants to exterminate as many Demons as he can before leaving this world, he has a hunch, only the first world, Players get the most benefits.
"Alright, since Shin-kun looks impatient, let's meet Oyakata-sama today."
Kanae had reported everything she had experienced when she encountered one of the Twelve Demon Moon, and had orders from Oyakata-sama to bring in the young man who had saved her after recovering from her injuries.
"Let's go." Rio nodded in agreement.
After Rio changed the patient's clothes into the standard Demon Slayer uniform and the white Haori that Kanae had washed, he followed Kanae off somewhere.
After traveling for 2 hours by running, Rio and Kanae arrived at a Japanese-style building with classic elegance.
Kanae brought Rio inside the building, after going through many rooms, Kanae stopped in front of the door and gently knocked on the door.
"Oyakata-sama, I have brought the Demon Slayer I mentioned before."
"Kanae? Come in."
From behind the door, a man's calm voice was heard.
"Excuse me..."
Kanae slowly pushed the door open and entered.
Rio saw that there was a man and a woman in the room.
The man had shoulder-length black hair, rotting skin spreading across his face and covering his left eye, he wore a black on white kimono with a long white Haori with a pink and purple flame-like pattern.
The man was accompanied by the woman sitting beside him, it was a fair-skinned woman with pale skin and large, lavender eyes and short eyebrows. The woman had white hair just like Rio.
Once inside the room, Kanae immediately knelt down, one knee touching the ground while the other foot was placed on the ground in front of the body.
Seeing Kanae's respectful attitude, Rio also kneeled down.
"You have come, my sweet children." The man spoke softly.
"I feel happy to be present in front of you, I always hope that you are always happy."
"Thank you, Kanae."
"So this is the Demon Slayer who saved you."
The man looked at Rio with a friendly look on his face.
"That's right Oyakata-sama, his name is Itsuka Shin and a user of Thunder Breath." Kanae gave a brief explanation.
"Thunder Breath… You know Jigoro, Shin?" asked the man called Oyakata-sama.
"Jigoro is the teacher who taught me swordsmanship." Rio answered honestly.
"Is that so... Looks like Jigoro has chosen you to be his successor." Oyakata-sama nodded as if understanding something.
Only Rio was confused and didn't understand what the other party meant.
"Before talking about the reward you wanted, Itsuka Shin, thank you very much for saving Kanae back then."
Oyakata-sama and the woman beside him bowed their heads in front of Rio.
"Oyakata-sama, Amane-sama, wake up quickly."
Kanae became panicked seeing the two most important people in the Demon Slayer Corps lower their heads.
"No need to thank me, as long as I get a promotion, it's more than enough."
Even though Rio didn't know how important the other two people in front of him were, he had a guess from Kanae's attitude and behavior.
Oyakata-sama straightened his back and looked at Rio with a smile.
"Of course you will be promoted, do you know how much you contributed for saving Kanae?"
Rio shook his head, if not for the Hidden Quest, he wouldn't have risked his life for Kanae's sake. Moreover, his opponent was a Twelve Demon Moon, and it was an Upper Rank 2, he would not hesitate to run as far as he could.
Rio doesn't think of himself as benevolent like a shounen protagonist who will help anyone even if it's a villain.
If there was no profit, Rio would not help others let alone risk his life for a stranger.
