"Huh? Both? I was only sent here to get one pair of Deity DNA..." I muttered to Ali.
"The new ranking of Deities will not include any reincarnations of Providence or me. It's time I pass my powers to the future generation... especially if you're so close to my son..." Ali told me.
"Who are the Deities going to be?" I asked Ali. She started to cry...
"Sky... Illya... and you..." She muttered.
"Sky can't get his DNA from any other Deity if you're giving me two pieces of DNA... how will he become a Deity?" I asked her... but she was fully sobbing now.
"My son... in the Real World... was he a good man?" She asked me with tears pouring down her face.
I couldn't help but cry as well.
"Y-Yes... we had our challenges... but he kept us safe. He led the force in a war that saved our lives, and he came to this world to save his friends yet again... I couldn't let him do this alone..." I sucked in air as I silently cried next to her.
"I'm here to alleviate the pressure and stop Illya... I didn't know anything before I came here... he was a good man... he was a great man... he only served his people and he worked to be friends with everybody and... he was good..." I told her. Ali smiled and nodded while continuing her sobbing.
"God... I don't want to die... you'll be good to my son too, right?" She asked me.
"Y-Yes... I've been doing my best, and I'll continue to do just that. I didn't match his strength in the Real World, but now, I stand a chance to stand by his side. I won't be going anywhere either... and we will beat Illya, thanks to your sacrifice." I told Ali. I wiped away the tears and smiled.
"I don't want you two to be run by Wrath... not like I was... you'll be Deities with your own power... you are strong enough to learn it and do it..." Ali said.
"If you ask me, Miss Asterio, I believe there's a time and place for anger and rage, just as you displayed... Sky won't have to rely on that rage anymore. My System Corruption will be at maximum level and usage when I fight Illya, and I'm not sure what will happen to me, but I have a lot of pent-up rage, seeing you like this, seeing Sky wielding that power... it's not right..." I said, biting the inside of my mouth while staring at the ground.
"If somebody has to use it... I'd rather it be you because you have such pure goals in mind. Not even Wrath will last forever. You should leave before Illya detects you because once she does, she'll try to kill you... thank you, Dani. I trust that my son will be in good hands..." Ali muttered.
"He will... thank you, for the DNA. I won't let you down..." I told her, slowly getting up and turning to see a girl looking at me.
"Who the hell are you?" She asked me. Her voice was almost emotionless, and she had black hair and pink eyes... then, she must be Buusu.
"I am Dani, and I'm here to stop Illya... but I can't do anything if Sky is fighting Providence. I'm waiting for the fight to end." I told her.
"So... you're not a threat?" Buusu asked me.
"I wouldn't say it like that. I'm just not a threat to you." I explained.
"I highly doubt that. You should get out of here." Buusu told me.
I nodded and turned around, walking away from the fight. Buusu immediately went into the fight to help Sky... so, she was trustworthy.
I waited outside a good distance from the fight and watched as everything ensued.
The fight was insane, Sky was ascending to another level, and was traveling at such a fast speed that my eyes were feeling exhausted while trying to keep up.
I wasn't worried about that... because they were keeping up. His speed isn't blinding to me, not yet.
The water rose up high and they dropped into the ground for a brief second, only to be knocked straight out and slammed into the ground again.
[ERROR! USER DETECTED]
My eye was shot with a sharp pain unlike anything before, not even while ripping it out could compare.
It was the dead center of my eye, and my vision flickered while it was happening...
There was a field of vision that I couldn't comprehend right now... the flicker gave me some terrifying things to see...
My vision was blacked out, but everything in a radius around me was outlined in Golden Strands through my eye. I could see everything, including heartbeats that were made by mimicking strands, and I could see heartbeats... and when I looked at Sky's, I could see something terrifying about his heartbeat.
It was moving... too fast...
I could've sworn it was going to explode.
I watched with anxiety as it beat so fast and his movements sped up...
When he sped up, his heartbeat increased too.
Is that how he's moving so fast?!
I understand... when learning about the body with Griff and Jeff, I learned something interesting about the way blood works in our bodies. When we're active, the heart beats more because our muscles need more blood. The more blood we get, the stronger and faster we are... and this is no exception...
Then, all this time, Sky was pushing himself to this extent, just to win these fights. Wouldn't that kill him after a while?
I wasn't focused on the fight, just on his heartbeat as it increased more and more... and then... I heard muffled screaming, and his heartbeat began to slow down.
As soon as it happened, another dome appeared in front of my vision through my flickering eye... but my real eye couldn't see it. It was... invisible?
It was definitely there... but I couldn't see it... who put that there?
