Seeing everything go down was... unreal. I couldn't believe the scale of power going on right now, but I'm looking for the girl named Ali...
Based on the small glimpse of the girl she was fighting that I got, I was able to easily subtract Providence from Ali and find out who was who. Right now, Ali was absolutely kicking Providence's ass... so, would I take Providence's DNA instead?
I wasn't even close enough to start thinking about that, so I was left in the dark right now. I can't stop here, I have to keep running!
The dome was spinning in the air, and I couldn't see much, but everything I could see was red. I can't even describe what it's making me feel. The pressure of such a large object was weighing down on me. I could feel it, even if it wasn't close to me.
As I ran closer, I felt more and more pressure... until it turned into nausea. I couldn't stand it because I was so dizzy, and I felt like throwing up as a golden light shot out of the dome.
I can't get close... I can't move my body... I feel like I'm paralyzed.
As I was stuck on the ground, a burst of wind shot past my head as a flying scythe came rushing into the dome. I watched that scythe get closer and eventually, cut the dome in half and sent out an even bigger shockwave.
I used strands to try and brace myself as I slowly regained composure and this time around as the shockwave blinded me, I was still standing on the ground. I successfully countered the shockwave!
With the dome cut in half, I could see the full appearance of both flying, Godlike figures staring at each other with equal hatred... is what I initially thought.
The more I looked at Ali, the more I realized that she was brimming with rage. A rage so familiar to me, that I could see Sky within her.
She yanked the scythe out of Providence's chest and held it so the top of it was facing the sky.
There was a swirl forming around Ali and I found myself standing still while watching her.
I can't get close... I think that's going to kill me...
Just as she swung everything in the confusing golden swirl down on Providence's chest, I was struck as well from a distance, and it completely severed my right arm and dug a ravine into the ground right beside me.
If I was standing even an inch closer to that strike, I would've just died...
The ground beneath them cracked and everything exploded, and I mean everything.
The rocks in the air, the rocks on the ground, the weaponry, the ravine, the ground, probably even the air.
Everything blew up with a shockwave that rang in my ears.
I regenerated my body after a while using the tips Eo gave me and reinforced the rest of my body in case anything else came my way... but nothing else happened.
Everything was quiet...
And then, there was yelling.
"DAMMIT!" I heard from a lady. Was that Ali?
"YOU FUCKING BITCH! YOU STOLE MY STRANDS! GIVE THEM BACK!" She yelled again.
I felt chills in my legs and I started to tremble.
What is going on...?
I got closer and heard something else...
"It's over... you and I both know you lost. Just give me my strands, and I'll finish everybody else here. You can't restart. This is it. Sky failed his test, you didn't kill me, your plan blew up in your face! Give me my goddamn strands back." I found the voice to belong to Providence.
Sky failed his test? What test? Why don't they explain anything in front of me?
"I warned you. You don't know shit about my son if you think he failed. Sky is my boy, and my boy would never fail in the face of a challenge like this one... he will keep trying his heart out, and he will prevail, not because it's what I expect from him, it's because I KNOW it's what he's capable of." Ali said. It was easy to forget that this was Sky's mother...
I don't know if I had parents, nor who they were... but if they were anything like this, then I would love them to death.
His mom doesn't look too good. She was missing an arm and was bleeding all over. When can I go in to help her?
They talked more as I tried to think of a strategy to get to Ali, to help in any way I could, but there were no openings that were visible, not yet.
Not until Sky appeared.
He looked... so different...
His hair was flowing in the wind as he smashed the ground underneath him just by simply landing on it. Golden strands were shooting all over his arms, latching to him tightly, and changing his appearance to include the new strands all over his body...
And there was his rage. That rage I could see on his face when he killed Raven, when he killed Orion, and when he killed Demos. It was inconceivable how much he was suffering, and I wanted to help in any way I could... but I would just get in the way.
When Sky gets like that, he only has one goal in mind, and it's killing the other person. I can tell, just by gazing into his pupils to see where they're fixated... and I knew he would be like that because that's my Corruption. All that was explained to me... I finally understand the way he feels. This is a curse, but I'll be damned if it hasn't saved us more than once.
Sky vanished with another shockwave and as Sky and Providence talked more, her arms popped off and the fight began.
And my opening appeared.
That... that's what I need! I have to go now!
Just as I ran over to Ali, I hid behind some other rocks as everybody turned to Ali.
It sounded like Ali gave Sky permission to kill Providence, and with that, more shockwaves shot out of the air as their fight began, and I closed the distance to Ali as everybody was distracted by Sky.
I could even see Shike, and a body double of Eo, almost down to the exact strands of hair.
"Excuse me, I know this isn't the time, but my name is Dani. Dani Asterio. I'm from the Real World, and I'm your son's girlfriend. I was sent here to get your Deity DNA... can you help me in any way?" I crouched down next to Ali and whispered.
"I figured you would get here soon... I'm sorry for cutting your arm off." She told me.
"Please, it's fine. You stalled long enough, and I can use the strands to regenerate my body as well. Do you know anything about transferring Deity DNA?" I asked her lightly again.
"Yes... you're lucky, because knowing that an Asterio came to grab the Deity DNA, means that I can do this..." Ali muttered.
Her hand shot back and implanted itself into my chest. Not in a shallow form, but almost straight through it. I whimpered and covered my mouth to avoid drawing attention to myself.
"There is going to be too many Deities... my death is confirmed already... but yours is not. Dani... I bestow to you the Deity DNA of myself... and Providence..." She said.
…
Huh?
