Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Sky VS Providia (3)

"There it is... watching it click in your mind is so satisfying. You now know why you're being tested. All of your friends, your memories, they're flooding back into your mind... but a large portion is still gone, isn't it?" Providia asked me.

She was right. It was like a large chunk out of me was missing. I remembered several events where my System corrupted... but there was a silhouette just watching me. Who was that person?

I slowly started to remember my abilities as well. I remembered what kind of feats I could pull off while facing Orion, and looked back at Providia.

"Kill me, and you will remember them." She told me.

With a slight flip of my saber around my hand, the golden color reanimated and I closed the distance.

I jumped at the last second, slashing down at Providia at an angle, where she was forced to turn her body to dodge. However, that's what my second saber was for.

I curved the second one and cut a crevasse into her skull, causing her to retreat.

She summoned her own saber and threw it at me. I couldn't dodge... but I did have something else.

[DEFLECTION ENGAGED...]

The saber collided with my stone, interacted with it, and then shot out a constant stream of strands that acted as a beam. It pierced Providia's chest, taking out almost all of it.

She was thrown to the ground with the strands, but just because she was weak now, I didn't let that stop me.

Running over to her, I threw my saber at her head. She deflected it, but I used my infamous skill to bring it back into my hands.

[RECALLING ARMAMENT...]

On the way back, I lowered my hand down to my knee so the saber I was bringing back to me would be low enough to jump over. I successfully jumped over the saber, causing it to go past me and turn around to make it back into my hand.

In that position, I flipped my body, grabbed onto the saber that I recalled, and slammed it against Providia's saber. It was an intense clash, as the wind blew out from underneath us and we looked at each other with contempt, but this wasn't over... this was far from it!

[Adrenaline Surge Status: Activated]

[Current Heart Rate: 198]

I slashed again and again, my limbs turning into blurs of what they used to be. Providia was blocking every single one, and if it hadn't been for my heightened sense of defense, I would've died from one of her strikes.

I tilted my body backward, slammed the saber into the ground, and kicked the handle toward Providia. She attempted to catch it, but I initiated the saber to extend on the opposite side as well, which cut off her hand.

This time around, I couldn't finish my combo, as Providia grabbed me by the throat and slammed me into the shallow water underneath us.

"You are strong with sabers, but what about hands?" She asked me.

She kicked her heel up into the air and I quickly pushed my body up and out of her way. Her heel connected with the ground and caused such a large shockwave that all surrounding water was pushed away from us again. She closed the distance before I could summon my saber, punching me all over.

Her fists were fast and calculated, and this was something I couldn't do. Hand-to-hand combat wasn't something I trained with, so I sat to defend in fear of her taking advantage of me in some way if I threw a punch.

Providia suddenly stopped and dodged backward. She didn't move, so I took the opportunity to recover from my fatigue as I used everything I had against her.

"You do cause quite the amount of damage when you hit me... and you can defend pretty well... then, I guess you're ready to regain those memories," Providia told me. I awaited while looking at her. When would I get them back?

We locked eyes for around thirty seconds as that veil of red never subsided... and as I was looking at her, her appearance began to change.

Blue eyes...

Golden blonde hair...

And like it magically clicked in my mind. I remembered.

Dani.

Faster than the eye could perceive, I launched off the ground with so much force that the clouds above me were thrown far away from my point of impact.

I closed the distance between Providia and me in a millisecond, throwing all of my strength, with maximized heart rate, and golden strands wrapping around my knuckles, into her stomach.

It was an uppercut, meaning that I could feel every single one of her ribs crack under the pressure of my punch. She spit up enough blood to fill a canteen and was thrown into the air.

By reinforcing my legs with golden strands, I shot off of the ground at her, summoning a saber, and slamming it down on her neck. My eyes weren't red anymore. They weren't even blue... they were something else. The reflection in the water coming back to our position told me they were purple... an unfamiliar color to the Corrupted System I have been experiencing.

Providia hit the floor and I began to start my descent, flipping my body and holding the saber above my head with two hands.

I put everything, and I mean everything into the strike I threw at Providia. The strike that split her in half also was thrown about fifty feet into the ground below us, creating a ravine that exploded with rocks and dust unmatched by anything I have ever seen before.

The ground, along with the clouds, all wrapped into a combination of colors and objects I couldn't define and I started to slowly float through the sky, past Providia, past the Black Lake, and I floated over the arena where Mom and Providence were fighting...

Mom!

"That was pretty excellent, Sky. Maybe, all things considered, you are fit to be a Deity. However, not until you escape from here..." Providia told me.
