Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

SKY VS COLE (1)

The fight I'd been preparing for had officially begun. I ducked to dodge Cole's mace head and ran at him once more to finally engage and end this battle once and for all.

We fought on what looked like an elevated highway, shooting up at almost a thirty-degree angle with how steep it was. Horse tracks and wheel paths were dug out into the highway, but they were misconstrued because of the way the ground was torn up to even elevate the highway in the first place.

All around me, blocks of cement, poles that lit up the path, and several blocks of dirt big enough to cover my entire body was blocking me from getting to Cole in a straight path.

With everything going on, I was able to understand that this battle between myself and I, was hidden the entire time...

The Mindspace, a world foreign to me, where I was pulled into it when I needed help, always contained more power for me in my time of need. Illya, Faith, and Avie all originated from this place, people from four hundred years ago... I should've seen it coming.

This is the most dangerous foe I've ever stood against. Orion had different abilities than me, Illya had the exact stuff I had, but without the same strength or speed, and Quake all were different individually... my body from four hundred years ago sat within Cole's body, and the two fused together, just as Avie and I do.

This is me. A battle with the one person I haven't been able to beat yet. It's weird... staring at him felt like the end of my ruthless hatred for myself. Being unable to keep everybody safe... it's him, it wasn't me. I could blame it all on him, for keeping my power hidden this entire time...

With the Strand-Spear in my hands, I thrust it toward Cole's head, and he eagerly dropped backward to dodge it, watching the tip of the blade pass right by his head and cut a few strands of his hair.

"It's simply just not enough," He muttered. Cole grabbed the stick from underneath the thrust maneuver I tried and snapped it under the pressure of his grip. Splinters of wood shot out from the gripping point and blocked some of my vision from Cole.

Attaching a strand to the tip of the spear, I pulled it back and cut his cheek while he was moving to punch me in the stomach. The Retriever and the large mace head were coming for me, slowly getting closer and closer with the more time I spent trying to attack.

Cole had three impeccable weapons at his disposal, The Retriever, The Mace Head, and The Mahina Blade. He had the gauntlets that Umbra did too, which I already knew were capable of strength that should be impossible.

When Cole's cheek was cut with the spearhead, he was stunned in confusion as it flew past his face, and my fist collided with his jaw from the right side, launching a shockwave that pushed him to the left.

My strikes were powerful, full of all anger I've ever experienced. My head and my ambitions were slowly coming together and fusing into one source of power...

The Incarnation of Wrath.

As Cole was hit with the shockwave, I attempted to back up to find my footing, but he grabbed onto my neck with the curve in his foot and pushed me into the ground. The angle was odd, but I hit the ground so hard that I bounced. On my way back up, Cole grabbed me by my hair and landed the most powerful hit I'd ever taken to my stomach.

It rippled through the air and I was launched into the air, watching my golden strands evaporate that I used to reinforce myself. I lost all air in my lungs and felt my ribs crack with that punch, which meant he could go straight through my armor and do damage on top of that. Hitting the top of the dome around a second after the punch, and sliding off made me feel weak in my legs... until from very far away, I looked upon a broken building, watching somebody wave their hands at me.

I wasn't sure who it was at first... and then, when I got a glimpse, more people turned up from the edge of a building.

Dani, Illya, Charlie, Carl, they were all watching... and Charlie was holding things in his hand.

A pair of gauntlets, and a gun...?

I watched him in surprise, trying to understand what was going on, but after I acknowledged him, Charlie threw it straight at the dome, colliding with the strands, and launching themselves into my hands with the help of the amplified power the dome shot back at me.

I caught the gauntlets with one hand, and the gun with my left...

These gauntlets! They belong to Umbra!

I quickly slipped them on, each hand by each hand, and then turned down to look at Cole with the gun aimed and primed.

He pulled out the one equal to mine and we both shot at each other, perfectly colliding each bullet in the middle of our locations. The two bullets collided and created another shockwave with their power, leaving me ample time to land on the ground while Cole was blinded from the dust he had to deal with.

I struck the ground with reinforced legs, running over to him with the gauntlets ready to strike.

The dust cleared right before me and I felt The Retriever slowly scathe my back as Cole smiled again.

"This isn't the same boy you fought before, Sky! This is the most powerful being on Earth!" He shouted out.

With one snap of his fingers, I was violently split in half. I hadn't sustained damage like this in forever...

My spine was showing from the cut I suffered, and I couldn't regenerate for a slight moment, while Cole jumped above me with the Mahina Blade pulled back beneath his shoulder, ready to split me in half yet again.

I punched the edge of the blade as my body regenerated, and the Mahina Blade cracked again, suffering a dull edge near the tip of the blade. The blade rang out in the sky when the two weapons collided, causing an insufferable shriek that reminded me of two sabers colliding.
