Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

One Final Offer

"What, does that make you angry, Asterio?" Ra asked me.

What the hell... maybe I should just be honest with these people.

"I woke up on The Isle, in late December. I found a statue that told me a city down on Earth would be hospitable, would be full of hope, and full of kindness. Now that I'm here, all I want to do is go back. You people are disgusting creatures, full of such hatred and bias. I can take it, I can deal with it, but disregarding my efforts to bring my family to such a safe place, pisses me off. You have no fucking idea how much blood I've shed, how many people I watched die in my arms, and how many times I thought about killing myself to soothe myself of this pain." I said, taking a sharp breath in.

"I worked so damn hard to get here, and now, I'm thrown in jail. Fine, you can do whatever you want to me, but don't you dare tell me that what I did was worth nothing. My friends died for this... and you people don't care. I don't want to be aggressive, but when you treat me like shit, I'm reminded of people on The Isle I've gutted for less. I am begging you, do not become the next target in my life. I'm willing to help, so what's the problem?!" I screamed at Ra and Ruby.

"The problem is that you're an Asterio, and your kind is known for atrocities committed against the human race," Ra told me.

"Atrocities? You're talking about the past, aren't you? Four hundred fucking years ago, when we've all died, had our memories wiped and now are completely different people? And you still hold those prejudices close to your hearts?!" I yelled out again.

"Not having an Asterio this long has kept us alive. And now that we brought one it, our lives are threatened, isn't that a weird coincidence?" Ra asked me yet again.

"Before I fill this room with your dismembered body parts, I'll ask you one last time. Let me live in this city, let me deal with the hate, just let me be with my family after I risked my life to be together with them." I asked both Ruby and Ra.

"Your request wields too many holes that might hurt our people. No." Ra told me.

I nodded, with a smile.

"Ra, you have strands in your body, don't you? I can feel them." I told him.

I summoned a golden saber at my side and started walking toward him. Ruby tried to get between us, more specifically me in order to stop me, and I wrapped strands around her body and threw her through a cement wall nearby.

"You better use them, because I'm going to kill you if you don't show me how powerful they are," I told him.

I stomped my left foot into the ground and froze the inside of the building, letting the golden light from the saber reflect off of the chunks of ice inside of the room. It covered the entrance, and I let the monitors in the room live without freezing them, but Ra slowly moved back to protect them.

"Oh come on, you don't think I'm serious? Did you think I'd work hard to clear that prejudice from my name? Oh no, you have it all wrong. You have every right to be afraid of me, and you should be, but if you make me your ally instead of making me your enemy, your lifespan multiplies by at least five times. I watched my close friends die in my arms, unjustly killed by a misunderstanding. I've watched people get injured, and I've watched people mutilate themselves just to save me. I watched my mom die to a person that would've eaten you alive, all for you to hate me?! You should see the people I've crossed. I'm the nicest motherfucker you've ever seen. Come on, give me a reason to kill you, Ra." I told him.

He was backed up against the monitors now, summoning a puny saber in his right hand to defend against the golden one in my hands.

I pushed my right hand with the saber in it to the side and completely disintegrated the saber in Ra's hand, which caused him to look at me with a confused glare.

"You're really not going to try to prove us wrong?" Ra asked me one last time.

"Those monitors are important to you, aren't they?" I asked him.

I threw my saber into the building and let it puncture the wall behind him. Then, with lightning coursing through my fingertips, I put them on the desk and surged the electricity through the monitors, causing them to turn off.

"You better be careful! There's sensitive information on those!" Ra yelled out at me.

"And I'm supposed to suddenly show you compassion? You're the worst scum I've ever seen. A typical person who hates me, begging for any kind of compassion and mercy the second I get extremely dangerous." I said to Ra, watching Ruby's movements with the strands I put in the ground.

I was analyzing her footsteps and their speed, realizing she was trying to come up behind me for a sneak attack.

"I'll offer a deal that you can accept without giving in to me. I'll give you a week. I'll stay in jail for a week, and then you can make your decision. I hope that you will realize the best course of action is letting me live in your society like everybody else, or possibly even recruiting me as an ally that could help you guys out." I offered to them.

I pulled my saber out of the wall and melted the ice by snapping my fingers as the saber vanished as well. The room was back to normal after I used my strands to repair the small holes and half-wall I smashed with Ruby's body, and I walked toward the door.

"I can walk myself back. Use this time to consider my deal, and make the right decision." I told them, shutting the door behind me, and walking toward the staircase again.

I sighed heavily as soon as the door closed, walking with my hands in the pockets of my torn-up pants.
