Genesis faded away into dust and smoke as Boo came down on him, slashing through the top of his skull, down to his feet.
"What the hell?!" She yelled out, looking all around.
"Chi-Chi, Asoh, stay behind me! Alex, you stick with Charlie, we're going up that hill!" Shike screamed out.
Boo and Orion were already on the run up the hill toward the top of the walls of the Labyrinth. From there, we could have a vantage point on the rest of this huge maze that Genesis disappeared into and find him.
We wouldn't let him get away!
Shike stood almost on the back line of our group, pushing up the hill until Boo finally got to the top and looked all around.
"It's... infinite..." She said to everybody, turning in the same direction as she did before.
"Dammit! Did we lose him?" Boo said again, looking all around.
Once Orion made it to the top as well, he looked around in the same direction but stopped when he looked back down the hill.
Orion threw his sword down the hill.
At a first glance, it looked like he was trying to hit me.
"What the hell is your problem?!" I asked, with a fear in my voice that believed he was betraying us.
I heard a groan from behind me, knowing that it belonged to Genesis, and turned around with a wide swing from my axe that clipped some of his hair off of his head.
So close!
While I was turned around slashing at Genesis, Orion had been bolting down the hill at the fastest speed I've seen him move yet, tackling Genesis further down the slop, and not letting go of him.
"THIS IS FOR MY SON!" Orion screamed out, leaning his head back and opening his jaw widely, sinking his teeth into Genesis's neck and ripping out flesh and arteries beyond belief.
"Holy shit..." Chi-Chi muttered.
The look of blood-lusted rage in Orion's eyes surpassed even what I thought I was capable. He was pushed backward by Genesis, and the blood dripping from Genesis's body after he vanished once more left him traceable...
"Follow the blood! He won't get away!" Orion screamed out.
We all ran up the hill at the same speed now, getting to the top of the wall of the Labyrinth, and watching the splatters of blood travel about sixty feet across the thin strip of the wall we were standing on. Once it got to that specific point, Genesis was revealed through the lack of an illusion and he panted while holding onto his neck.
"You guys are going to all fight me at once? A seven-on-one? Man... this must've been what my sister felt like. I can't possibly take on this many people!" He said. He was exaggerating... he still had a trick up his sleeve.
Boo vanished again with her speed and appeared behind him, but right as she rose her sword to strike at Genesis, he ducked under, grabbed her wrist, and slammed her into the ground.
He really shouldn't have been able to track her movements at all...
"Luckily it's not a seven-on-one... I still have Hikari, and you are rendered useless. Let's see... are you right-handed?" Genesis asked.
With a slight pull, Boo's entire right arm came off of her body and she screamed in pain as her weapon clattered onto the ground.
"You know, it's actually not possible to move at the Speed of Light, nor the Speed of Strands. It's just as fast as the person can perceive. As a master of illusions, one even better than Orion, I can perceive a lot. Statistically, there are not many chemical reactions or things that happened that I cannot see. Photons become grains of sand blowing in the wind at a slow speed, and I can tell all that happens before it happens. It's just on the cusp of becoming precognition... so close, yet so far. The only being I cannot predict is Avie, and that's because she truly moves at the Speed of Strands. Ever notice why the sound barrier doesn't break when you move?" Genesis said.
He talks too much... and his wound is gone!
"Who cares?!" Boo yelled out with her face planted into the ground, trying to suppress the pain.
"That's because you can't move as fast as you think. I know where you are, no matter where you are. Don't forget who I am, Buusu Achamo... I am Genesis Asterio. I see all, and I am all," He cryptically said, vanishing into the air like it was nothing.
Boo's flaming wings grew on her back and her appearance started to change once more as she pushed herself up from the ground.
On the right side of her body stood an organized cluster of flames spurting out that formed what looked like an arm, and she vanished again. This time around, she ruptured the sound barrier and caught Genesis by the throat, picking him up, and then slamming him down. He went past the walls of the Labyrinth, colliding with the floor underneath us, and the entire Tower shook.
The walls slowly started to rumble and tip from far away.
"Shit! This isn't looking good! Everybody, let's get down the hill!" Shike shouted out.
On the steep decline to our right-hand side, Shike slid down the hill as the two walls that surrounded the hill collapsed, going in opposite directions.
Shike led us all down there and held his hands up, priming his ability to block us from any of the huge steel walls that could crush us. I knew that if they did somehow end up falling onto us, we would be as good as dead.
"Is Boo okay?!" Chi-Chi shouted out. Shike nodded, looking toward the center of the Labyrinth.
"Genesis can't stop her, it's Hikari that we have to look out for," Shike said.
At that same second, he said to watch out for Hikari, she stood on the opposite end of the wall we were standing on top of now that they had all collapsed, staring straight at Shike without moving.
"An Asterio. You have memories that must be reawakened now," Hikari said, slowly continuing her stride toward Shike.
I got up, standing between the two, but Hikari didn't even register me as a person in her way.
