Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Dani and Lia VS Moon

-1:15 P.M.-

"How do you know that name?!" I yelled at Moon. She didn't answer me, she only ran in to attack me specifically. Dani countered her charge and swung her blade at Moon's position. Her nimble body dodged every hit. With the mix of gymnastics she possessed as well, it seemed impossible to land a surefire hit on Moon's position.

Moon landed on the ground with that dead-eye stare I imagined to fit Sky perfectly. She charged in between the two of us. Dani was in a different place right now, she wasn't thinking properly, and I could see it as she wasn't making eye contact with me as Moon passed between us. I knew what that meant. I had to fight off Dani's movements because she could hit me instead of Moon.

I dodged immediately backward and Dani swung at Moon as she came by us again. Moon clicked her tongue in irritation, which meant I countered her plan.

Dani swung upwards with her rapier in her right hand and threw her dagger into the glacier right behind Moon with an undeniably strong force. It cracked the ice around the puncture wound and even sent out chipped pieces from the puncture.

I followed in for an attack on Moon, swinging at her face. Moon deflected the attack and grabbed my collar, throwing me to the floor. Her strength was ridiculous as well! She picked me up as if I weighed nothing!

I dodged backward and prepared for another attack, panting out of frustration, but Moon didn't move from her position. "There's no way you two are going to get past me... isn't that annoying? I have to sit here and fight two children who stand absolutely no chance against me when I should be gathering on that dock with Orion..." Moon said.

I've never seen her fight, I could've never imagined her strength... maybe she was right. Did we still not stand a chance? After all that training... was it worth nothing?

Dani charged in while I sat in confusion. She turned her body uniquely and kicked out Moon's legs. To all three of our surprises, Moon's entire body was parallel with the ground while in midair. Where did that power from Dani come from?!

Dani flipped her rapier and plunged it into the ground right where Moon used to be. She pulled it out with the same force as she plunged it into the ground, and pointed it directly at Moon's throat.

"I trained for this exact moment... you will not leave here alive, and you will not kill any of my friends," Dani told Moon.

"You weren't listening to how naïve I called you guys... I don't have to kill your friends, they'll do that on their own." Moon told the two of us. Right after she said that she pulled a picture out of her pocket that was folded. I couldn't see anything but the white paper on the back of the small image.

Moon threw the picture towards where I was standing and it slowly slid into my view on the ice. I didn't pick much out of it since I knew Moon would try to strike me as I looked down on it, but my best friend she previously mentioned, Lily, was in it while hung up and bleeding all over the floor. I could tell by her noticeable white hair and emerald green eyes.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!" I yelled at Moon. The grip on my sword tightened and I readied for another assault of attacks.

"A better question would be 'What have I not done to her yet.'" Moon said, smiling. "I don't expect you to be able to think straight after that, knowing the condition of your friend, but it doesn't matter... I don't see you as a threat, I'm more worried about blondie." Moon pointed to Dani, but her face was unchanged, with a frown and furrowed eyebrows. Dani readied her weapon once more.

All three of us charged in at once. Moon held her katana diagonally as Dani and I clashed up against it. I grabbed past her katana and got ahold of her collar. Dani slashed upwards and cut Moon's shirt by half of its original length, and even places a cut along her stomach that was too shallow to be instant death.

I closed the distance while she digested the attack she had just taken by jumping off of the fountain and swinging my blade down at her head from above her. She blocked the hit and Dani ran in underneath my position, slashing at the same position once more.

The dagger Dani threw into the glacier earlier in the fight had been taken out and Moon was wielding it, blocking Dani's strike. I didn't even see her do that... what did she have time for that? Once I landed on the ground and looked past Moon once more, I saw somebody with white hair traveling through the bottom floor of the castle. I was curious and it took over my train of thought.

I would not have believed Lily was still alive until I witnessed the picture and the things Moon said about her. There was a chance, even if only a small one. When I saw that white hair in that hallway, I knew that was her. I almost completely forgot about Moon as I screamed at the top of my lungs.

I yelled out her name with every ounce of power trapped in my throat from the welled-up tears. When that white-haired girl turned her head and I made eye contact with her green eyes, tears instantly fell out of my eyes.

I heard swords clash together as I broke into a full sprint toward the bridge that led to that hallway.

Dani jumped in front of me and pushed me aside to block what should've been a fatal strike for me. "I saw Lily! We have to finish this and chase after her!" I yelled at Dani, but she didn't even look at me, she only held out her hand and curled her fingers like she wanted me to give her something.

"Give me one of your stim-shots. You go after Lily, I'll handle things here." I looked at Dani, trying to convince her I was okay to fight, but she wasn't even shaking right now. Not like I was. I was terrified, but Dani wasn't phased by the amount of power Moon had over us.

"HAHA! You aren't serious, are you?! There's no way a girl like you would be able to kill me!" Moon said to Dani. I placed one of my two stim-shots in the palm of her hand, and Dani stuck it straight into her neck and looked at Moonlight once more. Her eyes were even more narrowed. I couldn't see that well, but from the angle I was looking at her, the look on her face was almost identical to Sky's look when he was angry.

Dani never gave off this impression when I knew her, on the beach as her enemy, or in the trees as her friend. She was smiley, ditzy, and looked as if she had no idea what was going on at some times, but as soon as we entered this fight with Moon, her whole demeanor changed to a total opposite of what I learned from her. Her stance gave me chills.

"I'll bring back Lily alive. I swear on it!" I pushed my body up and ran across the bridge, turning my head back to see Dani and Moon staring at each other. Dani made the first move by instantly closing the distance and jabbing her rapier into Moon's position. I saw blood fly as I turned my eyes away and looked at the castle right in front of me. Lily was too close to stop now. I still had my stim-shot, my shield, and my knife in my hands, and I had my goal in sight.
