Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Charlie VS Genesis (2)

"Again... and again..." He said, rapidly regenerating the wounds I placed on him.

"Until everybody can get to safety... as long as it takes... for you to slow down... for you to leave them alone... for somebody else to take you out," I told him.

I felt my muscles twitch... and just as Genesis said... that word, 'prowess', I felt a motivation captivate me.

I'm in danger... the most amount of danger I've ever been in. It was slowly coming to my mind that here, it was kill, or be killed. There was no talking out of this, it was only fighting.

Again, I decided to run at him.

With a right swing, Genesis countered it and tried to grab onto me. I dodged and slashed at his arm quickly while repositioning myself repeatedly.

I was starting to feel exhausted, too much has happened today, and I was reaching my limit, but the closer I got, the more I felt it expand. That prowess... what does that mean?

What is an Arkian's Prowess?

I thought to myself while dodging attacks, countering them, and attacking whenever I could.

He's an Asterio! There's no way I could beat him!

Genesis took a lucky slash toward my eyes again, and with just a narrow dodge, I suffered a scrape on the side of my head, and a chunk of my ear taken off of my head.

That blood got onto my shirt.

And it clicked.

White strands gripped around my forearms and I felt all fatigue, all pain, and all fear subside.

The next swing I took clattered so hard with Genesis's saber that it bent in shape, cracked down the middle, and shattered into what looked like glass.

I slashed right at his chest, taking out his shirt, cutting deep into him, and launching him back from sheer force.

What the hell?! What the hell?! Strands?! I don't have them!

Genesis cracked the ground with his next charge, closing the distance in a fraction of a second.

The fear was missing in my body, and as he charged, I grabbed onto his reforming saber handle and planted my knee straight into the place where I cut.

Which wasn't healing.

With that hit from my knee, I pushed him back and repeated the attack pattern that Alex showed me. It stunned Genesis, and I tried one last thing before he could react.

I threw my sword right at his heart and tried the attack pattern Asoh hit on me.

One in the stomach, one on the shoulder, and one in the chest.

It further stunned Genesis.

He was sitting with wide eyes, blood leaking everywhere, and he was unable to focus on anything.

I grabbed the sword stuck in his chest, ripped upward, and spun my body around, cutting out both of his eyes.

My sword left my hand as I had blown my muscle up in my right forearm. I felt the muscle fibers rip, and blood vessels exploded, turning the entire arm purple.

However, I wasn't done using it.

I gripped my fingers as tightly as I could into the palm of my hands and put a punch directly onto Genesis's jaw. I broke it, dislocated it, and launched him with a shockwave to the west side of the field. If I had hit him upwards instead of downwards, I would've hit him with the mountain.

He slid on the ground for a moment, slowly pushing his body up, and falling back down again.

The white strands left my arms and I struggled for a moment with my fatigue. I fell to the ground in exhaustion, hoping it was over.

I could even hear the strands regenerate themselves over by Genesis' location.

Once I found the strength to push myself up, I was kicked in the chest, launched up in the air by the impact, and punched about a hundred feet in the opposite direction.

I bounced off the ground, coughing up blood, as Genesis took a slow walk over to me.

"That's the Prowess I'm talking about... perfect, you got a taste of it. That's what Dani had when she beat that girl in Orion's forces. That Prowess... the strength you shouldn't be able to pull out, yet you do. Do you know what the byproduct of that is for?" Genesis yelled out, softening his voice as he got closer.

"I couldn't care less..." I mumbled, spitting up leftover blood in my mouth.

"Correct, you couldn't, could you? However, you should really listen to this... it's important for your future. When you awoke your Prowess, you summoned those White Strands, didn't you? That can't just happen to anybody... that requires a sense of self so understanding, so developed... so violent. You want to kill me, don't you?" Genesis asked me. He punched me again, I felt my nose break and I hit the ground with my head.

My vision turned double and I couldn't even attempt to stand anymore.

"The point is, those White Strands can't awaken in just any Arkian. It requires knowledge that you still don't have... but that you are beginning to understand. The Purpose of Ultima Tower. You seek it, right?" Genesis asked me.

He punched me again. I fell to the ground after getting to my knees and hit it my head again.

"The First Trial was a test, for my sister to turn Sky into a Deity. However, it was originally a test from my brother to turn Sky into a Vessel. Ultima Tower was a test, for you to turn into my vessel," Genesis revealed.

"Me... your Vessel? I'll kill myself before I let that happen," I told him. I slowly slipped the broken sword piece that I threw at Genesis back into my hand.

Come on... lower your guard...

"I was afraid you might say that... so... I'll give you one more chance," Genesis held up his left hand toward the mountain.

"The thing I was going to hit Charlotte Eternia with... will blow that mountain to dust. Everybody left inside will turn to nothing, and you'll be to blame. Then, I'll shoot Ultima Tower, collapsing it on all refugees there... and then, I'll kill Charlotte. I'll take away everything from you..." Genesis said with a smile.

Lower your guard...

The White Strands were circulating my arm underneath my sleeve now...
