Chapter 7 - First Day in Class

After opening the door the information barge into Lux's mind.

"User Status Panel?What's that?"

As he was thinking he saw a panel in a room. The room is dark with only a panel standing in the center.

As Lux touch the panel he saw a holographic image of his own with some some things written alongside.

Name - Lux

Cultivation - Adept 2 star Mage

Age -14

Race - Human Hybrid [ Human(91%) ?????(9%) ]

Magic Spells - Lightning-bolt (rank 1) [ lightning type magic - throws sparks of lightning ], Blind (rank 1) [ dark type magic - blinds the enemy for the duration of 10 seconds ], Thunder-shock (rank 2) [ lightning type magic - shocks the enemy with lightning sparks and also has a chance for paralysis ], Spell Weaver (rank ????) [can allow the user to make a spell of its own. Can be used as long as user has required mana for the spell to be created ].

Shop ( can be unlocked after reaching Adept 5 star mage )

Training Arena ( can be unlocked after reaching Grand Mage )

Smithy ( can be unlocked after reaching Grand magic swordsman )

Seeing the status panel Lux was surprised. What surprised him the most is his race which is human hybrid. He is sure that his father is a human, so that only means his mother was of another race.

He also looked at the features which is locked for now. When he saw Smithy he start thinking about about his cultivation as magic swordsman.

He was planning to cultivate as magic swordsman too as he had already formed a bond with that sword.

The people in the continent who practice both as mage and magic swordsman can be counted with one hand.

As cultivation rank increase it becomes difficult to breakthrough so most people only follow a single path.

The magic swordsman cultivation starts from

Apprentice Magic Swordsman - Grand Magic Swordsman - Sword Knight - Sword Grandmaster - Sword Saint .

The magic swordsman use spells which can be only used using weapons. Though it is known as magic swordsman people can use different weapons like spears , bow and arrows , hammer etc.

To breakthrough from one rank to another a swordman has to comprehend mana to mend their physique.

For this they have to use mana from their surroundings and continuously use that mana to toughen their mana threads, bones, core and skin.

When mages cultivate they use the surrounding mana to comprehend about mana and by doing that they form a star shaped object in their core. The more the stars the more the rank. For example a adept 2 star mage has 2 stars like object in his core.

After saying that Lux leave the room and began using star energy from the surrounding stars to mend his physique.

As he cultivation is lower he cannot comprehend the mana from the stars fully

He use the star energy to toughen his body. He start feeling unbelievable pain as he has used mana from his core too to toughen his physique.

His bones cracks, skin start cracking and mana threads began snapping. He feels unbelievable pain

He gritted his teeth and after some time ago he breakthrough to the rank 3 apprentice magic swordsman. He also had a breakthrough in his magic cultivation as he breakthrough to adept 3 star mage.

Because of using mana from his core he had to extract more star energy to toughen his core because of which he was also able to comprehend some mysteries of mana and was able to breakthrough to next rank in magic cultivation.

After his breakthrough, he was very tired and immediately returned to his room and fall asleep.

When he opened his eyes the sun has already up in the sky. He first panicked thinking he was late to his morning duties but then he remember then he is no longer an errand slave

After getting freshed up he put on the academy uniform and put the SMJ in his pouch and hang the Fate Slayer behind his back.

He then start walking towards his classroom.

His classroom is deep inside the academy. He was in the class assigned for the freshers.

He entered the class and saw many students were already there. They saw him and some ignored him but most show a disgusted expression. Mostly the boys are those who looked at him like that.

The girls looked at him and most of them had to admit that he is very handsome.

As he was wearing clean clothes today he looked really different from the past .

The noble girls still restrained themselves but the commoner girls were stealing glances at him.

Lux ignored everyone's glances and took a seat at the far upper corner.

After some time Leita came to start her lecture.

"Everyone today there are new students who are coming to attend our academy. Please make them feel welcome." As Leita said that Yvette enter the classroom with a dignified expression.

Seeing her most of the boys are stunned by her beauty and the girls are stunned by her noble temperament.

"It's really the princess".

"Yeah. She going to be in our class."

"I am truly happy to be alive".

Students began whispering among themselves.

"Silence everyone.",Leita said and the whole class settle down.

"Hello everyone I am Yvette Emerson, the first princess of the Kingdom of Lucidonia. It's nice to make all of your acquaintance.",Yvette said to them smilingly.

"Now it's time for our seconds new face to introduce himself",said Leita while looking at Lux.

Lux saw her looking at him as he left his seat and came forward.

"I am Lux. Nice to meet everyone."

Nobody said anything, so Leita asked them to take their seats.

Lux goes back to his seat in the upper corner.

Yvette looked at him and sit with him in the upper corner seat.

Everyone was dumbfounded by this. The boys were looking at Lux with envy in their eyes.

"Good Morning Lux",Yvette said to Lux with a smile.

"Good morning to you too Yvette",Lux gritted her.

Hearing Lux calling Yvette by her name most of the students were again dumbfounded.

"How dare you address princess with her name you!",said one of the noble s student.

"Yes yes. Did you look at your status before taking to her like that" ,most of the jealous boys started cursing Lux.

"Silence. You should be ashamed of yourself taking to your fellow student like that"Leita reprimanded them.

"But Ms. Leita how can a commoner of low status talk to the princess rudely. He must be thrown out for this".

"Yeah yeah ",the boys become making noises.

Leita was about to say something when a voice sounded in the classroom.

"Yes I call her by her first name what can you do about that",Lux said while having a slight smile on his face.

He was getting irritated by their constant chatter.

"You you you are just a lowly commoner how dare you talk like that",the boy was fuming with anger.

"Yeah I am commoner so what? Atleast I am not someone who only knows how to flaunt their daddy's money. I am here because of my own hardships and hardwork. Now we are not here to listen to you shitting about your daddy's status. We are here to learn. If you have any problem with me you can come at me anytime after the class is over but don't disturb Big sis Leita class now. Now silently sit down or get the hell out",said Lux with an apathetic look.

"Yes everyone silently sit down and you too Lux you shouldn't had said that much"said Leita but inside she was surprised by Lux demeanor as he has changed from before and was also happy that he didn't forget to call her big sis.

"Sorry Ms Leita', the boy said and sat down but inside he was angry at Lux.

Lux also sat down .

"You are good",Yvette said to him.

"You know if you have told them that you are the one who asked me to call you by your first name maybe that wouldn't have happened"Lux said to her

"Even if I said that they will find any excuse to belittle you as they like to flaunt their status. And if I have done that I would not be able to see your cool side",Yvette said teasingly.

From her tone Lux get the feeling that she was not very much fond of the nobles.

After that the class goes on without any problem and after all the lectures are over ,Lux stood up and leave the classroom.
