Chapter 16 The portal 2

Jason sneakily close up the distance between himself and the panther ,he looked at the direction of emerald ,he saw that she is no longer afraid ,she is also preparing for attack .

' she is pretty fast ' Jason thought as he kept on dashing towards the monster to save James .

soon Emerald stopped running ,she took out an arrow from her back ,she aimed directly to the back of the panther , she dragged it with all her strength and finally she let go of it .

The arrow flew to the panther that is busy attacking James , she succeeded ,the arrow pierced the back of the panther .

" ..growl .. " the panther growled in pain and in anger , he let go of James who is pissing on his self with fear .

" growl...growl " The yellow panther gave a loud cry again,this time there is no sign of pain only the sign of anger from the arrow that pierced his back

soon the panther started charging towards towards the direction of emerald , the panther is bleeding intensely .

But their is no sign of pain , the panther moved it's body easily , without flinching .

When Emerald saw the panther charging towards her ,she frozed on the spot , she haven't experienced a monster coming to her direction before , she forgot that no one can die ,she think she is really going to die .

Because the world look real and the monster is real as well ,she thought at first that every thing is supposed to be a hallucination .

Every part of her body started trembling , her hands went numb and she let go of the bow in her hands.

Jason saw this ,and he played the hero ,he is the only one that showed courage ,his other team mates especially James is always afraid .

The panther is very fast in running ,it jumped 3 feet into the sky ,and soon it was 7 feet close to the frozen emerald .

On the other hand , James sighed in fear and relief seeing the panther getting away from him .

He looked towards the direction of the panther ,he saw it running towards emerald that saved his life .

' she saved me ..I owe her the same thing , Jason is the hero here ,I don't want him to take all the glory ,there must be a way I can help ' James thought to himself

he looked at Jason and then the spear in his hands , also he looked at the panther and emerald .

the spear he received has a two sided blade ,one at the top and the other at the bottom .

After gathering 49 percent courage that he can Help out his team mate ,he started running towards the panther .

Because of his fat body ,he found it hard to really have the same speed as his teammates , though he gave it his best shot ,but his weight was pulling him Down and reducing his speed .

Jason never stopped running towards the direction of the panther ,his gaze is on the panther and emerald .

soon he saw James also preparing to attack the panther , ' at least am not alone ' he thought .

soon Jason was very close to the panther , he raised his sword with all his strength and then he sent it flying to the head of the panther .

" ..growl.. " the panther dies after moving from one place to another , the panther is 5 feet tall and weighted 155kg.

Jason used all his strength to send the sword into the yellow panther body ,he fell on the floor panting like he jumped down from a seven storey building .

' pant ,, is this truly an hallucination or real ,that panther is real .. I can't believe they sent us here to fight that monster ' Jason thought to himself ,while lying down on the deserted area facing the sky .

seeing how Jason saved her from the panther , she sighed in relief ,and picked up her bow ,she walked up to him with a sweet smile on her face ,the type of smile every guy likes seeing on the female faces .

" thank you Jason " she bent down to thank Jason ,who is lying on the floor .

Jason felt shy at least ,but he snapped out of it ' this is no time to be shy ' he assured himself.

he lifted up his upper torso to face emerald that is bending down close to him .

" we are teammates ,we have to watch each other back ,there is no need for you thanking me " he said waving his hands at her .

' Jason saved her ,he is the hero among us though he is the youngest , I have to take a little of his glory , I can't stay idle all the time '

Inside the tech room in the military school , Mrs Ashley , captain Bryan and colonel jong jin , accompanied with other staffs sat down .

Colonel jong jin joined them few minutes after the student left ,he had a call from the president union ,that is the main reason he couldn't make it on time .

inside the room , several screens are displayed almost 100 screens exactly .

The screen helped them to see how the student is fairing and their performance .

Mrs Ashley held the tab she used in test day 1 , a white one .

captain Byran attention was on Jason ,he remembered Jason Scoring the lowest in the first test ,to clear his thought he asked Mrs Ashley about him .

" Mrs Ashley , what is the score of that lad " he pointed to Jason in one of the screen " isn't he the one that scored the lowest is the test held yesterday ".

Mrs Ashley obediently followed captain Bryan's word ,she scrolled down the tab in her hands and soon she found the answer .

" Jason Chao , he scored the lowest in yesterday's test .. but he is quite impressive , probably the best I have seen so far in this test " Mrs Ashley answered .

" umm .. impressive he is really good in this part of the test " captain Bryan answered .

captain Jong jin also noticed the performance of Jason , he became suspicious about it ,he also remembered quite well the performance of Jason on yesterday's test .
