"Are you the Jade Emperor, Lord?" Lin Shen pondered, then decided to use an honorific.
No matter whether the other party was an actual deity or not, the strength he possessed was beyond Lin Shen's ability to contend with. It was better to be deferential.
"Yes," the other replied simply and directly, then asked, "Why have you come?"
Lin Shen could clearly hear the other's voice, yet he couldn't determine if the voice was male or female, old or young, pleasant or unpleasing.
"Nothing much, I just admire you, so I came to see you, to behold your grace..." Lin Shen said with an awkward chuckle.
Although the other had admitted to being the deity "Jade Emperor" as mentioned in the sacrificial texts, as an atheist, Lin Shen did not believe in the existence of deities in the world.
Even if deities did exist, Lin Shen thought they were merely another kind of advanced beings, not omnipotent entities.
