Super actor reborn

After being dropped, my book is now being launched again under a new name: 'Second Act: My New Life With a System.' I've put a lot of effort into rewriting it, so I think you'll enjoy it if you were a fan of the original. If you weren't, still give it a shot, I'm sure you will like. Though my opinion may be a bit biased lol

Memories

As I moved on to class, I remembered my high school years, where I was bullied for being an orphan, poor and still saying I wanted to be an actor.

"Are you an idiot? Someone poor and ugly like you would never be something like that."

It was something I often heard, but I never gave up, I always struggled to be a great actor. Unfortunately, my effort never paid off, while my colleagues focused on the college exams, I was training script reading and character interpretation.

After a few years of training, I realized that no matter how long I trained, dedicated myself, bled, literally, for acting, I was never rewarded.

But anyway, this is all behind, I hope. I have to focus on the chance life gave me.

After all this monologue, I went into the classroom, and surprisingly I was one of the first ones to arrive, I could see a pink backpack on a desk at the side of the window, I put mine in the desk in front of it.

Seeing people walking outside the window is something I've really enjoyed in my two lives. Looked like I was watching their lives, kinda creep, I know.

As I thought, I heard something that looked like a melody, a song, maybe.

I heard someone singing. I got curious.

'Why someone's singing right now? Maybe it's some club, I should check it out.'

Without thinking too much I left the room and went towards the voice, as I approached realized that the voice was not coming from a specific room, but from the stairs. When I got to the stairs I met her, the girl from earlier, singing with her eyes closed, seemed to be reliving good times.

A melancholy pause came, even with closed eyes, one could see the emotions through the song. A few seconds later, she took a deep breath and continued.

And the lyric was accompanied by a sweet voice, as if the winter breeze came to refresh us on a summer day, calmed us, but also brought a reminiscence of something that was once good.

—Wow— I said unconsciously. A simple moment, but that will always be recorded in my memory, the scene where a dirty staircase was brighter than any concert.

—W-Who's there.— She said, as she realized that someone saw her singing, when she opened her eyes immediately our eyes met. Unfortunately, it wasn't how I wished it would be.

As she opened her eyes, she seemed shocked, a tear dropped, and she looked at me for about five seconds and then run away.

—What the hell?— I said, trying to understand what happened right now.

-------------------------------------------------------------

My heart is really heavy today, I ended up remembering him, it's been so long, but still the memory of him is still in my mind. The pain seems like never going to go away, when will I be free from it?

As I thought about it, I looked one way, the other, and I didn't see anyone. I went to the stairs and as it looked like there wasn't anyone around, I felt I had to sing to take that weight off, music really is the only treatment that work on me.

I want you, even when I don't want to have you, was what I tried to sing, but couldn't. That would do our memories' comeback again.

But it didn't work, as I sang, I remembered our moments together, I stopped for a while those bittersweet memories passed by and left my heart numb for a while, but after breathing a little I could continue.

Yes, the important thing was being with him, but he's gone, and he's never coming back. Will I find…

—Wow.— I heard a voice, but I couldn't relate with someone. I was startled by the voice that suddenly interrupted my thoughts, when I opened my eyes I saw that boy who dropped my books earlier.

'What should I do? I'm dying of shame. Think fast about something to get me out of here.'

He looked at me with a slightly astonished face, I had not even a clue of how to get out of this situation. So I just run away.

-------------------------------------------------------------

—Julia, huh.— I said, thinking that this year probably going to be fun. I have to go to the classroom, because this time I can really be late.

As I ran into the classroom, I was hoping not to be late, I opened the door and saw that now the room, before empty, was full, but luckily the teacher had not yet arrived. Going towards where I had left my backpack, I sat and looked at the window, reminding myself that in this life I wanted to avoid bullying, I turned back to greet my colleague.

—Good morning, my name is Lee No…— I said, but when I looked at the people I got astonished, again.

—You!— The girl behind me said. I couldn't believe.

—You?— I said, yet trying to accept. Incredibly, she was in my class and even more, she sat behind me. We had no time to talk of anything, as the teacher got in the classroom, and started our class.

I remembered I hadn't apologized for spying on her singing, It wasn't my fault, I know, but feels the right thing to do, took a sheet from my notebook and tore a piece big enough to write a note. After writing, I turned around and put it in her desk without the teacher noticing.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I finally got rid of that boy, it looks like he's following me, but luckily, I'm not going to see him anymore. As I thought about it, one more person came into the room, I could see the silhouette coming in, but I didn't care much.

Interrupting my thoughts of what happened a few moments ago, the person who had arrived in the room turned to greet me.

—Good morning, my name is Lee No…— He couldn't finish what he said, he was astonished.

"You!"— I said, really couldn't believe he's in the same class as me.

"You?" — He seemed not believe in it too.

He? How is that possible? Maybe he followed me in? No way, he's sitting, so he should be from this class. Is this some kind of romance book where he's the main character?

We both had no idea we were meeting again so soon.

Luckily, the teacher arrived, and I could avoid talking to him.

As the teacher came into the classroom and wrote some things on the board, he put a piece of paper on my desk

'What does he want?'.

(Hey, I'm sorry if I scared you earlier, I was a little surprised with how well you were singing.)

I read that, I wanted to be mad, but I couldn't. I guess I'm not mad at him anymore.

Not only that, but I wrote back to him.

(Pardoned :D)
