Chapter 14

Suddenly, Zirken noticed something that was crucial to his current situation.

"The sun is almost down. I need to leave soon." - Zirken.

Disappearing like a blur, the boy jumped into the skies and set off in the direction of the next wall. However, this time everyone who was present inside the boats and even those who were still desperately trying to board, could not ignore such a shocking event.

"He blew the titan away?!"

"Where did he go?!!!"

"That was a miracle!!!"

"He's a god-send?!!?!" - Religious.

"We have not been abandoned!!!"

A great uproar full of speculations and rumors began to form. Everyone who witnessed this quick but effective demonstration of power will never forget what they had just seen. To them, it was like a way of demonstrating that humanity has hope that one day it will no longer have to fear the titans.

What Zirken had no idea, however, was that the rumors about his recent achievement would reach the ears of almost all the citizens living within the walls.

Meanwhile, near the main gate of Shiganshina...

The armored titan was completely destroyed inside a huge deformation in the wall, caused by its impact. There was a hole in its abdomen and everything around it was practically charred.

After a few seconds of standing still, a wave of steam begins to rise from the back of the titan's head.

"What the fuck was that?!" - Rainer snapped out of his titan body.

'They shouldn't have that kind of power!!! How can those demons fight a titan with empty hands!!! And what was that attack?!' - Rainer.

Following this, a thin, black-haired young man, somewhat tall for his age, appears running towards his downed companion.

"Rainer! What happened?!" - Bertholdt.

"I don't know! The demons were stronger than we expected." - Rainer.

"What are we going to do?! We've already lost Galliard, if we go back now we'll all be killed!" - Bertholdt.

"Where is Annie? Has she infiltrated yet?" - Rainer.

"Yes...She left on the boats along with the refugees." - Bertholdt.

"Then let's continue with the mission. We will die anyway if we go back, we have to keep trying. From what I could see, not all individuals possess that kind of power." - Rainer.

"Understood..." - Bertholdt reluctantly.

A few hours after the destruction of the Maria wall, inside a forest and moving at high speed in a wagon...

"Please, may they all be all right!" - Grisha despaired.

The next day, at the landing site for the refugees....

"Where are they!?" - Grisha desperately searching for her family.

After a few minutes of searching for them, the doctor finally finds them disembarking from the wooden boat.

"Carla! Eren!" - Grisha running towards them.

"Dear / father" - Carla and Eren.

In that instant, the three of them hug each other tightly for finally being reunited after hours since the attack. In the background, Mikasa and company looked at such a scene with longing, joy and a slight sadness.

"I'm glad you are all alive..." - Grisha with an expression of relief on her face as she looked at Sukasa, Mikasa and Armin.

"Dad, are you okay, you look a little pale." - Eren.

"Really honey, is everything okay?" - Carla.

"Y-yes, yes, I'm just tired because of the rushed trip I took." - Grisha disguising her uneasiness.

'Tsk, I don't have much time!' - Grisha.

"Honey, maybe we need to go to Trost." - Carla.

"Why?" - Grisha.

"We've gotten leads on Zirken's whereabouts. An acquaintance of yours told us to go to that address." - Sukasa handing the letter to Grisha.

"Zirken?! He's on the Rose Wall?" - Grisha.

"We don't know, but for now that is the only clue we have about him..." - Sukasa.

"I see..." - Grisha.

"First we'll stay here for now, then we'll check to make sure it's not a trap and find out about this clue.'' - Grisha.

"I don't think it's one. That arrogant guy doesn't look like he would set that up." - Eren.

"Arrogant guy? Is that Zirken's acquaintance?" - Grisha.

Carla then began to recount all the recent amazing events that occurred from the breaking of the wall until they got on the boat. Listening to the details, Grisha Yeager became more and more lost in thought.

'How would a human being have the ability to kill titans using fire? Could it be someone from the Ackerman clan? No, as far as I know they didn't have that level of strength... So how? Is it related to the mysterious light?' - Grisha.

After that, the group left to go near the place where they would soon distribute food to the refugees. In a few moments they were reunited with Hannes, but as time passed, Grisha became more and more tired.

'I will have to pass on my mission to Eren. I don't have much more life left...' - Grisha as he tried to stop the trembling of her arm.

Not far away from them, watching them from afar...

'I'm glad they arrived safely. From the looks of it, Dr. Yeager has already devoured the founding titan and doesn't have much longer to live...*sigh* I just hope he can hold on until he gets to Trost.' - Zirken.

His face was now completely in plain sight. However, he was without his Katana and his clothes now consisted of a white t-shirt and a brown hooded jacket.

(Similar clothing to Eren's, but with a white shirt and a black hood)

The boy then began to observe his surroundings. Until he finally spotted what he was looking for. One his eyes, reflected the image of a blonde girl with blue eyes, wearing a hooded t-shirt, sitting on the ground and leaning against a wall.

I finally found her. I won't go near her for now until I make sure they get to Trost, but I'll be sure to find her before we enlist for military training!' - Zirken.

Following this, the golden-eyed young man stealthily began to follow his family to ensure their safety.
