chapter 16

Naruto POV

'So I must head to the magic council people first so they could tell me where to go?' I thought completely unsure of myself.

But, I just sighed and bought a train ticket to 'Era'. I then headed to my seat waiting on the train to start moving.

'Since I am alone this would give me time to think on how to speak to them 4 again. And I also start working on some more jutsus that would help me out in this world' I sighed again and closed my eyes going into my mind mindscape.

I slowly opened my eyes to see a desert. 'How did my mind end up like this' I wondered as I got up and started looking around for a seal of some sort.

After awhile 'Is there not any??' I was about to give up looking till I saw something out of the corner of my eye.

I turned around to see a pedestal with a seal upon it. Slowly I walked up to it, 'How did a seal get over it?' I stared at it for awhile trying to figure it out.

"WHAT THE HELL THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE" I yelled angered at the stupid seal

I sighed and touched the brim of my nose 'I dont understand this seal, it looks so easy that's its complicated. Might as well get back into reality' With that I slipped back into consciousness just to hear " We will be in Era at approximately 15 minutes. Passengers who are getting off please be prepared"

-- 3rd POV

"Hello Mr. Senju" said a girl as she shooked Narutos hand.

"Nice to meet you" Naruto answered. The girl just nodded and started leading the way.

After awhile of walking they came into a room full of people. The old man at the head of the table then stood up "Welcome to the magic council."

Naruto just nodded "Nice to meet you all. But let's get to the point why me? What's the mission about?"

When he said this gasps sounded out. "Rubbish"

"Such arrogance" yelled a woman as she hit the table.

"Now now, calm down" said the old man as he looked at Naruto "Mr. Senju..your not at least scared? When most people enter they would either bow or treat us with respect. And yet you just came in and didn't do any of that. Why?"

Naruto then broke out in laughter. "Look here Mister. I won't bow down to anyone my back will never bend. You can beat and torture me, break my spine but I will never bend down. Also my respect is earned not given and you haven't done anything to earn my respect. Thus is why I dont show you any. Finally I came in here for a mission not a damn meeting, if your gonna have one do it without me because I'm not Interested in it."

And with that they was all shocked into silence. Suddenly a man with a cloak on started laughing "Boy...your correct..in all ways"

The old man the sighed and pointed to a chair indicating that Naruto can sit down. Either Naruto didn't notice or he didn't care. "Mr. Senju we called you here to do a mission for us."

"No, you don't say" replied Naruto sarcastically clearing getting tired of this conversation. 'Just like the damn ninja council. So damn prideful and one day that would be where they fail.'

The brows visibly twitched on all of the magic council people.

"The mission is to attack and capture some prison escapees."

Naruto nods "Why me?"

"We've been watching you. Well you and your partner Erza, we looked into you two trying to find out about y'all. Erzas past came up but yours didn't, thus we got curious and started watching you more carefully. We noticed Erza kills people while you capture them not kill, the only ones you killed are when you didnt have a choice. Why is that?"

"Because I dont want to kill. But it's a part of life I'll have to live with."

The old man nodded clearly pleased with the answer. "They have been seen at a small village about 36 miles east of 'Margaret Town'. This mission should take at least 4 days."

"Why didnt you just ask Lamia scale?" Questioned Naruto as he watched them.

All they did was smiled. Naruto then knew they wasn't going to answer the question so he just turned around and proceeded to walk out. But just before he walked out the room he stopped turned around with a bored expression "To prideful"

"What do you mean?" Questioned the woman

"Just to prideful" then he resumed walking.
