Everyone sat down in the courtyard of Peter Brown's house. Reuben Taylor quickly said, "Conditions here are a bit tough, we've brought some stuff along this time, let me carry them in."
Seeing Peter still treating him with the same attitude as before, Reuben felt rejuvenated. He opened the trunk and began to unload various ingredients they had prepared.
When Peter looked at him, he clearly noticed a huge change in the young man. Before, he had a sense of superiority in front of Peter but now, he completely lost that feeling and seemed to take pride in being able to help.
Noticing this change, Peter realized that it was all due to power.
It crossed his mind that the principles of the Cultivation World, "Power is everything, the strong are respected", though sounds nonsensical, there is some truth in it. After all, human nature is selfish. If he can't provide something for them, why would they follow him?
