"I personally would suggest it as that would help us to get out into space faster and maybe we will be able to make full use of the resources in our star system by the time the aliens know about us." "Sir, do you think they will be peaceful or attack us?" "I can't answer this. Whit the resources they have they would be able to destroy every planet in the milky way thousands of times. But because we still live, I don't think that will happen."

Whit Thot's scientific inventions and suggestions they began to mine the stars themselves. They decided to send probes to every star in a 500 ly radius around Sol. Also, they created an AI named Hermes, it got added to the probes in the case they found sentient life, to communicate whit it.
