JOHN ALBERT POV

I gazed at the frame, memories of our wedding day flooded my mind. I remembered the way Linda's eyes sparkled as she walked down the aisle, the way her smile lit up the entire room, and the way my heart felt like it was going to burst with love and happiness.

I felt a pang of regret and sorrow as I thought about how my secrets had hurt her. I wished I could go back in time and do things differently, but all I could do now was hope for her forgiveness and understanding.

"I was so blind, Linda," I whispered to the frame. "I thought I was protecting you, but really, I was only hurting you more. Can you ever forgive me, my love?"

My gaze drifts to her eyes, bright and full of life in the photo. I remember the way they sparkled when she laughed, the way they softened when she smiled at me.

I feel a lump form in my throat as I think about how I've dimmed that sparkle, how my secrets and lies have clouded her eyes with doubt and hurt.
