Stick To The Arrangement

As Steve prepared to go to bed that night, he kept thinking and wondering why Joan ran away when they seemed to be having a really good moment together. With the way she was responding to his touch and kisses, he thought she wanted it. Or could he have read the signal all wrong? Could it be that she didn't want to have sex with him and was only playing along, and when she couldn't go on with the act anymore she decided to back out? But she was the one who kissed him first, he was trying to have a conversation with her when she kissed him. So how come she no longer wanted to go on with what she started?

"The fact that she kissed you, doesn't mean she wanted to have sex with you," a voice of reasoning said to him. There is that too, but he knew the message he got from her when she kissed him, that was no chaste kiss, the way she kissed him passed a message.
