Chapter. 21 Boredom

All through the week Laura never saw Jason again. At work, Sarah attends to all his needs. After work, she will go to his office but he will not be there, When she goes out, the driver will already be waiting for her and if she asked him about Jason he will say he has already gone home. But getting to the house she will not see him until she went to bed and when she wakes up the next day Jason has already left. This went on the whole week making Laura feel discomfort thinking that Jason is avoiding her. And it's now Saturday, Jason has already left with his men which is odd, leaving just Laura and Cecelia. Feeling bored Laura called Kate to come over by noon.

It was already a few minutes past 12 but Kate hasn't shown up so she dialed her number she sat on the kitchen chair waiting for Kate to pick up the phone that was when she heard the doorbell she went for the door thinking it was Kate.

"What took you so long....?" Laura was surprised to see who was at the door.

"What are you doing here?" Laura asked her.

"I should be the one asking you that question," Aria said.

"Oh I lived here, " Laura said with a smirk on her face.

She busted into laughter when she heard Laura. "Who do you think you trying to fool, Jason would never let a trash come close to him," she said pushing Laura to the side so she can enter.

"Where's Jason, I need to see him".

"He's not around" Laura replied curtly.

"Just shut your mouth I'm not talking to you" she warned Laura before heading to the stairs but was stopped by Cecelia.

"Hey, Cecelia what are you doing here? I thought you worked at the mansion?"

"Mr Hughes asked me to work here ma'am " Cecelia replied.

"Okay then, where's Jason "

"He left early this morning"

"Left? Then why is she here?"

"Miss Laura lives here " she replied shortly.

"You two are lying let me go and see Jason "

Aria said trying to upstairs.

"Stop Miss Aria, you know he doesn't like it when people invade his privacy " Cecelia tried to reason with her.

"Well I'm not just anyone "

"I think you're the most stupid person I've ever met," Laura said standing at the corner.

"Who are you calling stupid?" Aria flared up.

"Don't you think that if he was around he would have come downstairs with all this unruly behavior?" Laura said sarcastically.

"You who do you think you are?" Aria walked to her and was about to slap her but Laura held her hand.

"If you ever think about rising your filthy hands on me again I swear, I will break every single bone in them" Laura's whole aura just changed. Aria was instantly intimidated and took a step back. She now realized that this girl was not a pushover.

"You.. don't worry I will get back at you" Aria immediately turned away trying to get out as soon as possible. On her way out she tripped on something and almost fell.

"I think my timing is getting rusty," Kate said with a smirk on her face.

"Who the hell are you " Aria flared up how humiliation is she going to take for a day? she's not going to let the two of them off that easily never but before that, she had to save herself first and fight another day. She scrunched her hand into a fist and bolted out.

"When did you get here," Laura asked Kate.

"Long enough to see that bitch gets humiliated. Gosh, I hate her. I never knew celebrities are this vicious in real life. Except my love of course. So how is he?" Kate teased her.

"Can you stop talking about him already? I called you here so we can have girls' time ". Laura looked disappointed.

"Okay, okay I've heard you but girl... This place is amazing. We're gonna have fun ". Kate was excited.

"I'm counting on it " Laura replied. "By the way, this is Kate, Kate meet Cecelia". Laura introduced them.

"Hi, nice to you, " Kate said.

"Me too" Cecelia replied.

Kate and Laura went to sit on the couch. They both started catching up, they played games with both Cecelia, ate, and had a lot of fun together.

"Shit, babe I have to go" Kate immediately stood up when she realized it was already passed 6 pm.

"Stay a bit longer please...." Laura begged her.

"I'm sorry I have to meet up with someone by 7"

"Someone? Do you think I don't know you're meeting up with him? Do you have to rob it on my face 'cause I don't have a boyfriend?" Laura felt neglected.

"I that's not it. I promise to talk more about it on Monday. Bye.. love you" she gave Laura a peck before going out.

Boredom was enveloping Laura again now that Kate is gone. She looked at the time wondering when Jason will be back.

"Do need me to do anything for you?" Cecelia asked her.

"No thank you"

"Please don't wait too long for him just go to bed".

"I know, thank you. Good night ".

Cecelia went to bed leaving just Laura in the living room. Laura waited for hours still Jason was not back. She decided to lie down on the couch, and not long after she fell asleep.

Laura woke up the next day in her room. She clearly remembered falling asleep on the couch, so how did she get here?

"Wait, was he the one who brought me to my room?" Laura immediately looked for her phone and found it in the drawer. She checked the time and realized it was a few minutes past 6 am. She ran out of her room with just one thought on her mind.

"I have to stop him before he leaves" She kept repeating that word over and over again until she found herself in front of Jason's room and everything just went silent.

"Wait! Why am I here ?" Laura asked herself not having a single idea of what she will say to him.

"Should I tell him it's work-related?" Thinking for a while Laura finally mustered up the courage to knock on the door. After knocking a few times the door was finally opened revealing a gorgeous figure. Laura held her breath. To her, he looked more handsome than the last time she saw him. Maybe because of his ruffled hair or because he wasn't wearing anything on his upper body Laura just couldn't take her eyes off him.

"What are you doing here?" Jason pulled her out of her fantasy.
