CHAPTER 9

ARIANA'S POV

Well l have managed to decorate the house. It was a lotta work so Vince better appreciate it or else he will lose his balls. Nia gets ready still trying to seduce him. This will be fun. They arrive and his twins look amazing. They are so cute. They have a cockiness like Adam's...........wait why am l thinking about him. He is nothing but a nuisance.

"Hi babies" l say. They are wearing matching clothes. Vince should really stop dressing the boys in matching outfits. It is just creepy.

"Aunty A. How are you? We are fine" they say in unison. Again, creepy.

"I am good now go in Nathaniel has your gifts". They run inside and l just smile. My mom's mom is here and some of Vince's sisters. I have never liked most of them and so l just greet them and lead them in the house.

"The gifts better not be guns or anything related to that Ariana" Vincenzo says.

"Stop being a grinch plus they will take over your mafia so they need to be prepared. Stop babying them. And speaking of babies, where is your baby mamma?". He used to go everywhere with her.

"We got divorced and now she went back. She is coming her to spend The week" he says. I did not know they divorced and l hated her. She thought being married into mafia meant she could rule. She tried it with me and l shot her almost killing her and the twins since they were not born yet. It was a close call.

"Good you left her. She was a bitch and l never wanted her near me. But does she have to come?"

"Yes l do" a voice says behind Vincenzo. Speak of the devil

"Hie Ari and hie baby" she said. Her name is Amanda. She is a snotty bitch who needs to be brought down a peg or two.

"Do not say my name bitch" l say to her.

"Oh come on. We once were sister-in-laws'

"Yeah. Key word ONCE"

"Be rude l am here for my babies and Vince are you happy to see me". Vincenzo just walks in the house without even looking or answering her. She remains standing at the door. Oh how badly l want to slam the door in her face but l won't. I am kidding. I slammed the door in her face and walked away. She let herself in. We all pretended to be happy she was here for the twins. If that was not the case, l would shoot her brains out now.

We had dinner and the twins were talking most of the time. They made everyone laugh. After dinner we went to sleep and Vincenzo and l went to my office to discuss the real reason they were her. We took Nia.

"So what do you have so far" Vince asked while siting on my chair.

"One get off my chair and stand. This is not your mafia and two we managed to sneak some people in and they told us that those two are making their moves slowly. Even though James is growing restless of waiting he is waiting"

"So that means thy are looking for a soft spot?"

"Yeah and they have recently appeared in gun and drug exchange. They are mostly the highest buyers and suppliers"

"We need their location" Nia chimes in.

"Yes but we first need to attack on the low. That is how we will get them out. "

NIA SAID, "I found their first two ware houses. We are waiting on your command to blow it up and a person to take the fall"

"I know someone who might. it is the French mafia. I will take his soldiers and kids and others and he alone takes the fall"

"Well that is a good plan sister" Vince says.

"I know. Now let us go to sleep. I will be busy tomorrow so you can team up with Nathaniel"

We went to sleep and tried forgetting that we were risking our lives for this

NEXT MORNING

Next morning, l woke up and did my usual routine:Wake up, run some miles; do some exercises; parctise shooting; bathed; got breakfast and went to work. I fire some people as they were slacking and l hate slackers. Today l have a few meeting to attend

I did them all and was left with one. The meeting with Adam. Why? I have not killed anyone today so why am l getting punished.

He arrives as usual late and looks good. His suit fits him perfectly and his nails look like they were done. Wait what? Ariana focus on business.

"Adam you are late"

"Oh sorry l was dressing up for you sweet pie". He was dressing up for me and did he just call me sweet pie?

"Yes l did". THE FUCK. Did l say it too loud

"Do not call me sweet pie". He start walking to where l am standing and he looks good. I have noticed how good he looks. That is a walking snack. I shiver as he touches my face. I can not breath.

"Do not touch me" l say. It does not come out trembling. I thank Yuri for that even thought he is trying to kill me. Adam gets so looks to me they is no space between us. His grey eyes are the most mesmirizing site l have ever seen. Snap out of it Mendoza.

"I know you like me touching you"

"As if"

"Do not deny me". His eyes are filled with lust

"I did that a month ago". I say. His face is so close to mine. He is about to kiss me when someone knocks on my door. Adam backs away. Thank you God.

"Come in". L regret saying come in as l see the person l never thought to see again. It's him. Alex Morreli. The same man who broke my heart and left me crying in a huge mansion.

"Brother" Adam says. Wait, brother? They are brothers. The fuck!

"This is..." Adam says but is cut off by me and l say, "Mr. Alex Morreli. The player supermodel. Although l do not see what they see in you. Mr. Morreli you wreck of sex" As usual

"Wait how do you know him"

"I did a little digging on your mother after the gala and l found him. Now sit" l say. I can not believe he is here.

ALEX'S POV

It's her. The girl l loved and broke. The girl l still yearn for. The woman with now the cold hear all because of me. All because l was elfish and let her go. She is not even smiling at me. If my brother finds out that the both of us have history. I can not even imagine it. She looks at me with disgust and hate. Like the day l left.

"Good meeting you, Miss Mendoza" l say. We shake hands and yes they are still as soft as ever. She does not answer just nods.

"I must say. You have got my brother going crazy". I try making conversation. She keeps it casual like she does not know me at all.

"He is the one who drives me crazy, Mr. Morreli. Now let us begin gentlemen" she says. She starts discussing everything but l can't listen. Her face does not show me any emotion towards me. I hurt and tried to make it right but was told she had died. I blamed myself and even though l am happy she is alive, l am still blaming myself for the heart break l caused.

I want to tell her now that l still love her and want her back. Back in my arms, warming up the cold side of my bed but l hold myself. I look at Adam and he has an expression l have never seen before. He has a child-like wonder whenever he sees her or talks about her. Does he lover her?

I see that her lipstick is a bit smudged. I see some red on Adam. What happened when l was not in here?

".........and that is how we shall do it. What do you both think" she asks us.

"Well....'' l am cut off by Adam and he starts speaking. Ariana notices but does not say a thing. Adam says, '' Well l think we should discuss this over some dinner. It will be better"

"No.no. Remember the times you say we should discuss at this place, we end up not doing anything at all. Like the day in California' she says. What happened when l was not here? Did they go tou? Adam never told me that. He looks at her with a goofy grin and says, ''Well you always agreed. Just agree now. Plus this time my brother will be there and so will mom and dad. What do you say?''

"I think it will be a great idea" l chime in. I will do anything to be near her again.

"Come on Ariana" Adam says. Are they that close that she now allows him to say her name. I heard no one says her name.

"Do not call me that but fine. I will go to diner with you" she say referring to Adam, ''But with your family. This is not a date" she says. Adam just laughs and says, "Whatever you say. But you are so eager to meet the family. I guess we should make it official, right?" he say. I am getting agitated seeing this site. Ariana is mine and will always be mine.

"You are a perv Adam Auderrali" she says with a bit of a smile on her face. '' Where is the dinner and what time"

"The four seasons hotel at 7pm" Adam says. He gets up and leaves but not before blowing her kiss. I stay sited and Adam asks me why and l make up an excuse. He leaves and it is just me and her.

"Mr. Morreli, the meeting is done. You may leave"

"Wait Ari..

''DO NOT CALL ME THAT. YOU LOST THAT RIGHT YEARS AGO" she spats

"And l am guessing Adam earned it now?" I know l am getting on her nerves but l need to talk to her and fix everything.

''Look Mr. Morreli, leave now. You and l have history. Forget it and act proffesionally and leave me alone. I do not want to embarass you okay?'' she says. I hold her hand turn her to face me. She is as beautiful as she was 5 years ago.

"I want you back". I see her geting breathless. I still have an effect on her,

"No get out" l release her and say, "You will see how much l need you. I will do anything for you"

"Oh really. Why did you not do anything when you left. No l don't wanna hear it. Get the fuck out!". She was mad. I left her with my head low. Adam did not ask what was wrong and l was glad. I am not in the mood. Hopefully at the dinner, we can talk. I can't help feel some type of anger towards Adam. I know there is nothing going on but the ay they look at each other is different. I am sure it is just about lust for Adam and Ariana is not even falling for him. Yeah that's it.

Later in the evening we all get ready to have this dinner. Out of everyone l am the most nervous and excited. I wear a black suit she gave from Armani. She used to say that black looks good on me. We get in the limo and Adam is wearing a dark blue suit. Mom is looking so hot in her Dress. It has some sequins. Dad wears a black suit, not similar to mine. Arriving at the hote, l feel nauseous. Why do l feel this way? It's an ex that is all. We arrive 20 minutes earlier as dad likes to be punctual. We wait for 15 minutes for our table and 5 minutes before we get the table she walks in. She is wearing a blue pantsuit and she looks hot. The makeup says sweet but psycho. It is how she used to describe herself. Next to her is a girl, l have never seen before. She is kinda cute but my eyes are on Ariana.

My mom waves at her and she smiles and heads our way. She greets us all but does not even look at me. We go to our table and settle down. I sit next to the guest she brought and she sits next to Adam.
