Mark narrowed his eyes as he sensed Grunn's emotions through his senses. There was deep remorse and sadness present in Grunn's emotions, telling Mark that Grunn was really not happy about how things were playing out. Grunn really didn't think that Kaylen would be a traitor.
Mark's chains had already been hovering behind Grunn, and they were waiting for Mark's orders to lash out at Grunn once Grunn said the wrong thing, but after hearing what he had to say, Mark realized that it wouldn't be necessary and recalled the chain, leaning back in his seat.
"Regardless of if you knew or not, I still cannot trust you. You were the closest to Kaylen on the council and you were not able to sense her deceit for so long. I have no use for someone who cannot even pick out a traitor from such a close distance. You have been removed from the council with immediate effect and you'll remain in the dungeons until I decide what to do with you. Take him away."
