Sophia Cloud was quite fond of this evening gown, but since it was already reserved by someone else, she chose not to compete for it.
Upon hearing the noise, Christopher Lewis hurried over and asked, "What's going on?"
The clerk replied with an apologetic smile, "The situation is like this, this lady took a fancy to this gown, but someone has already reserved it."
Christopher furrowed his brow, looking at Sophia whose gaze was still fixed on the dress, evidently quite taken with it.
He said, "I'm willing to offer three times the price."
At his words, Sophia immediately withdrew her gaze to look at him, reaching out and grabbing his clothes before shaking her head in the end.
She couldn't accept something so expensive for just a banquet; any dress would do.
The clerk also felt it was difficult to insist, "I'm really sorry, but this was reserved by Mr. Harrell, and we can't make this decision on our own."
