When Zheng Tan came down from the tree, Jiao Wei gave him a strange look, probably not understanding why he suddenly climbed up a tree and peered into someone's dormitory.
Shaking his tail, Zheng Tan didn't care in the slightest what Jiao Wei thought. After giving him a glance, he lay down beside him and yawned.
Beyond this point, there was no more shade. Many of the student dorms had been built more recently and didn't have the greenery that the older dorm areas had. Most of the trees were camphor trees, which weren't very large, and the plane trees weren't tall enough. Even if they were, they weren't dense enough to block out the sun.
Moreover, Mr. Jiao had only asked Zheng Tan to show the way, and Jiao Wei still had the final say on where they would go. Since the kid hadn't made up his mind for a long time, Zheng Tan took the liberty to rest a bit after their half-day's journey.
