Chapter 7

In her dream,Lion walked into the FBI camp in military swagger and carried her out bridal style.

A soldier asked him where he was taking Sunny while strapping her onto her seat.

"I'm taking her for a ride, Captain's orders."When Lion spoke Sunny thought it was real and almost opened her eyes.But she couldn't risk a disappointment so she allowed her mind bask in the false sense of a rescue.

But for heaven's sake the pain from contractions was too real.

"Lion..."Sunny called in her subconscious state.A blast that sounded to be miles away followed the Jeep's roaring engine as it sped off.

What followed was a wetness that pooled under her seat and feet, finally calling Sunny back to her reality.

"My baby ..."Sunny groaned half awake.

"Damn it!I thought you weren't due until next month!"Again,Lion spoke.Sunny slowly flattered her eyes open as the wind fiercely blew on her face.

She wasn't sure what upset her more,the fact that she was in labor away from civilization or the fact that Lion had proven her wrong and actually came for her.

"Try to relax,I'll get you to safety.Sorry I took so long to find you."Lion stretched out his left hand and locked it with her's.Sunny looked up from their locked hands to his face.

Lion was worried for her ...or the baby.Either way he had come for her and she would be eternally grateful for that.Her hero.

He was ruggedly handsome and so focused on getting her to safety.Sunny down-played the maddening contractions for a while till she couldn't hold it in anymore.It was a bumpy ride which made her situation worse,and she was thinking of Lion in all the wrong ways.

"How much longer?I can't hold it in much longer."Lion turned to her for a second then back at the road.

"There is a stop three kilometers away.We'll buy what we need.Hang in there."He tightened his hold on her and the tiny gesture made Sunny almost groan the baby out of her.She couldn't help but think about Josef.What he'd have done in the current situation.

"I'm so tired Lion,and hurt.Please let me go home."Sunny was becoming delirious again but the consecutive contractions kept her up.The more they built the more she felt the urge to push and be in sync with her uterine walls.

"Just breath in and out slowly."Lion instructed. His voice was a nice distraction.He was quite nice to talk to when he wasn't trying his hardest to be a villain."Sorry for getting you into all this mess."

"It's partly my fault.I promise I'll forgive and forget everything if you let me go.Just take me upto the border and I'll find my way from there."Lion responded by releasing her hand and speeding off.If Sunny was in her right mind she could've noticed he was pissed.

No Federal men had followed them so far,which was probably a good sign.
