Chapter 16: First Date
Angelica's POV
It has been 2 months since Walter asked me if he could court me bumalik na din si Andy sa NYC, habang si Stacey naman at Christian they argue about small things minsan nakakairita na nga eh, Walter would always give me flowers, chocolates, and food yan talaga he knows I don't like stuffed animals anything materialistic so yung palagi nyang binibigay pagkain alam nya kasing patay gutom ako HAHAHAHA pero ang daya nga eh kain ako nang kain di naman ako tumataba kahapon naman he asked me on a date and today will be my first time going on a date when I was in 9th grade almost all of my classmates went on dates with guys since I have a strict dad and I was a nerd so no one asked me out like ever pero everything changed when I visited my Aunt Cara mama's bestfriend who lives in New York with her daughter who works as a model si Miya she works for designer brands such as Gucci, Prada, Dior, Armani and many more.
I'm currently preparing for our first date tinanong ko sya kagabi kung anong pwede kong suotin he said pwede daw casual daw so I am wearing a baby blue dress that was an inch or two below my knee na hanggang elbows ang sleeves and a pair of white sneakers I applied very light make up on my face tapos naka pony tail yung buhok ko he was gonna pick me up at 10:30 am tapos na din akong mag breakfast I heard a honk outside I knew it was Walter so I went done and kissed my mother's cheek lumabas ako sa bahay namin and I saw walter wearing a baby blue polo and jeans and naka white sneakers din sya what a coincidence!
"Morning Angelica tara na" he opened the door for me, I greeted him as well and pumasok na ako sa Audi nya he went to the driver'sseat and started driving
"So saan tayo pupunta?" tanong ko
"Our first destination we'll go to the arcade, eat lunch, watch a movie tapos secret na yung plans ko for dinner I'll take you home by nine" nakangiti pa din sya kahit traffic ang aga pa nga sobrang traffic na
We arrived at the mall at 11 so instead of going to the arcade we decided to eat lunch we decided to eat at a place called "Lily's" it's a semi finedining resto we decided to order steak tapos he ordered halo-halo din for the both of us tapos chocolate shake for him and mocha shake for me o diba sugar overload shake na halo-halo pa we started eating
"Walter anong feeling when you asked me if you could court me?"
"Syempre kinabahan ako parang di ako makahiga akala ko nga sasampalin mo ako kasi nakakahiya ako when you said yes tangina nakainga ako nang maluwag" natatawa sya habang sinasabi yon, actually ang saya ko everyday he never fails to make me smile
"HAHAHAHA as in kinabahan ka"
"Oo naman syempre gusto kong mangligaw sino ba namang hindi kakabahan kung ikaw liligawan eh napaka amazona mo HAHAHAHA"
"Eh kung di kaya kita sagutin" I faked a smile pero syempre joke lang yun sarap kasing pagtripan si Walter eh
"Huy wag ka namang ganyan Angelica joke lang yun Angelica ha joke lang" parang natatakot na sabi nya
"HAHAHAHA kaya ang sarap mo talagang pag-tripan para kang bata Walter juskooo" tawa pa din ako nang tawa kaya ayun nabulunan ako agag nya naman akong pinainom nang tubig tapos sinermonan nya ako
"Yan kasi tawa pa nang tawa yan tuloy nabulunan ka na mag ingat ka naman pag ikaw namatay di na ako magkakajowa Angelica naman" sermon nya
"Oo po master sorry po"
"Master ka dyan kumain na nga tayo"
We continued eating the food was so good and worth it din yung price wew nemen parang ako naman yung nag bayad when I received the bill kinuha ni Walter yun tapos sya yung nag bayad.
"So saan tayo pupunta next?" tanong ko
"It's still 12:30 tara gala muna tayo"
So we walked around the mall we bought a lot of clothes grabe si Walter parang sya ata yung babae sa aming dalawa and it took us two damn hours grabe and now we're currently here sa Nike
"Anong gusto mong sapatos?" while looking at the women's section
"Why? Are you gonna buy one for me?" gulat na taong ko
"Yep pili ka lang okay so here's a deal choose one for me and I'll choose one for you tapos as well as clothes mga 4-5 pieces tops and bottoms"
"Grabe ka naman di ba mauubos pera mo?"
"Angelica I work at my lolo's company every weekends off and during summer I earn a lot and during weekdays I still work yun nga lang online so I have my own money and I'm the guy here so I'm paying kahit we're in a different generation I'm a guy I'll pay I even pay for the things my younger cousins buy kapag magkasama kami so Angelica let me" it's true actually Walter loves to work
"Okay okay if you say so"
So after 30 minutes we met at the cashier he bought me tshirts, sports bottoms and tops, tapos dalawang pair nang blue air jordans para couple shoes daw, and a blue Air Max shoes for me. Ako naman I gt him shirts, shorts, and a Kevin Durant shoes i honestly don't know what that shoes was called pero bagay sa kanya so that's what I got him he payed for everything we decided to leave all the things he bought for me and himself sa kotse nya we bought food so that we can eat sa cinema we watched a movie called "Midnight Sun"
Nandoon na kami sa part where Bella and Patrick went to the boat she was almost gonna die already naiiyak na nga ako ayun di ko na napigilan talagang umiyak na ako
"Ba't ka umiiyak uy?" tanong ni Walter from the way he said those words I know he was worried
"It's just so sad since she's about to die tapos he'll leave Patrick alone" I continued sobbing like a kid
"Wag ka nang umiyak" he said and hugged me the movie ended while Walter was still comforting me
We went out of the cinema while his arms are on my shoulders
"Don't cry angelica ganyan talaga ang buhay people die and the people close to them must go on in life kahit mahirap"
"I just feel bad for her boyfriend, bestfriend, and father"
"I know tara let's order some food para while I'm driving we can eat a bit before our dinner wag ka nang umiyak ha" he cupped my cheeks and wiped my tears with his thumb we ordered food sa McDonals tapos we went to the basement he started driving we ate and talked about the movie the day isn't done yet since may dinner pa kami
"Walter malapit na ba?" tanong ko sa kanya I'm kinda tired and we've been on the road for 30 minutes already
"Nope mga one hour pa its still five so we'll arrive at 6:30 matulog ka muna I know you're tired"
So I did what he said I slept

Walter's POV
I was currently driving papunta sa lugar kung saan kami kakain mga 10 minutes nalang din papunta doon I looked at Angelica she looks like an angel while she was sleeping sobrang ganda nya talaga I'm actually taking her to my grandma's mountain resto its a place full of flowers, the view and the food is really great my grandfather bought it for my grandma for their 16th wedding anniversary Angelica is really special for me I wanna take her to the places where she has never visited I plan to travel the whole world with her but before that I must do everything to make her mine, when we reached the place maraming tao sa first and second floor I actually reserved the 3rd floor where the garden is located for this special night I parked my car and woke her up
"Angelica we're here wake up" I tapped her shoulder gently her eyes opened slowly
"Where are we?" paos na tanong nya
"We're at the mountain resort of my grandma tara na"
She streched her body lumabas na ako nang kotse ko at pinagbuksan ko na sya nang pinto together we went inside the place some of the staffs greeted us we climed the stairs and when we reached the 3rd floor I swear I saw the gleam in her eyes when she saw the place mahilg kasi sya sa flowers and plants the place looks so cozy I made the staff tun this garden into a modern picnic place may bean bags and a small table I know Angelica loved it
"Walter I love it the view is great so is the place" I know she loves the place and I'm so happy that she's happy
"I'm glad you loved it I came here myself kahapon the staffs helped me decorate everything pero pinatawag ako ni lolo buti nalang at natapos nang mga staff ang pag-aayos at pag-dedecorate dito" I called all the staffs that helped and thanked them at sinabing mag order sila para sa kanilang pamilya at ako na ang magbabayad
"Tara na kumain na tayo I know you're hungry already" pinaupo ko sya sa katabing bean bag
"Walter how did you know about this place?"
"This place is owned by my lola wanna hear a story about this place?" I asked
She nodded and continued eating
"My grandfather bought this land for my grandmother for their 16th wedding anniversary maliit lang toh noon since they were still staring their business my grandfather and grandmother used to be poor pero nagsikap si lolo at lola kaya ayun our company is now one of the largest companies nationwide kaya kaming magpinsan at magkapatid our grandfather always tells us "If you give up you won't succeed in anything that you'll do" kaya kapag nag-aaral ako yan ang palaging iniisip ko when our business boomed my grandfather bought this whole land for my grandmother he built this mountain resort and everything on the menu are the food that my lola cooks this resto also uses her recipes" I was serious with everyting I said
"wow talagang nagmana ka sa lola mo" I smiled dahil sa sinabi nya
I nodded "You are right sa buong pamilya namin ako lang ang nagmana kay lola pagdating sa pagluluto"
She smiled "Pero thanks Walter for this sobra I loved it"
"You're welcom and I'm happy that you loved it kain na tayo so that I can drive you home"
"Before we go let's take a picture muna" I called one of the staffs and asked him to take a picture of us nakaakbay ako sa kanya while we were both smiling yung isa naman nakatingin ako sa kanya while she was smiling

I drove her to their house at exactly 9 since that's our regular curfew, I opened the door for her she faced me and smiled
"Thanks for this day alam ko ilang beses na akong nagpasalamat today but you really made me happy Walter and this day will be one of the days that I will always treasure" she said and hugged me
"You're welcome seeing you smile like that is enough to make me happy I love you Angelica wag mo munang sagutin di naman ako nagmamadali pasok ka na baka magka sipon ka" we broke our hugged their gate opened she looked at me for the last time and smiled again
Sa ngiti nya pa lang I know that she's my last I am willing to give up everything for her she's my home and I would go crazy if I loose her but I'll never let that happen she's my safe place and I'll never do anything that'll hurt her mahal ko eh.
