Chapter 4: How to almost match a Cheater

Clan disciples like Mu Bai would get a day or two in a month with s Star Dust magic tool and Mo Fan who would have one for the whole time would only grow further and further apart from himself if he didn't manage to gain every one of the advantage he could as for how he managed to match or outperform these guys was because he realised three things.

One, other than Mu Bai and Mo Fan no one would even come near a Star Dust magic tool before second year and even if they did they wouldn't have it for themselves for the whole time.

Mo Fan's Little Loach was not yet a Star Dust magic tool as he too poor to feed and it too weak to have it appraised without risking his life in the process, simply speaking these two guys couldn't completely play to their advantages, of course his results were worse than them but that's because he underperformed.

Mu Bai was a haughty guy, for his plan to succeed a good relationship and ass kissing wasn't enough he had to be worse than Mu Bai and secondly he had a gift that all transmigrators had and most mages overlooked.

Mental Strength

His Mental Strength was about halfway into the first realm same as Mo Fan. Stars were disobedient and unruly at the beginning and needed to coaxed or controlled and a strong Mental Strength could help in that and even shorten the casting time, although he underplayed himself his casting time was not something a Green tea man could match and if he performed honestly he would be the second rank.

Thirdly, he realised what exactly a magic tool does, a mage's spiritual world has spiritual energy proportional to his cultivation, talent and other special factors, and stars of an element convert and store spiritual energy as mana of a particular energy.

For example his spiritual energy would be 1 units at Basic Tier 1 and entirely converted and stored as Light Element mana, while Mo Fan had 2 units of spiritual energy that would be divided equally by his fire and lightning Star Dust.

While Star Dust magic tool could help with increasing cultivation time and not casting speed and release of a spell, that was the function of a magic accelerator.

Mu Bai could cultivate his stars faster than him but had to spend more time in training his release, Mo Fan could cultivate faster than him and release as well as him but had two elements to deal with while his Little Loach had yet to eat.

The test was an average of cultivation plus release, thereby giving him just enough room to squeeze between these two in results while actually being worse than Mo Fan but better than everyone else
