Star Wars VRMMO

First and foremost: Yes. I drew the cover myself in Microsoft Paint. It is a masterpiece. You're welcome. This is my second work. I thought I'd give a shot at one of those game novels. I've always had a dream of there being a video game where it was kinda like a combination of an MMO and GTA but with Star Wars themes. You'd be able to travel the whole galaxy and have progression that relates to the story. I think it'd be quite interesting. Essentially, I am going to be creating a universe so this is going to be a really fun experience for me. There is gonna be no bullshit with reincarnation. Just pure exploration and luck. I might experiment with different POVs throughout the work but who knows. Lastly, sorry if I make mistakes with the math. I am going to try and keep it as simple as possible. Here is a preview: The year is 2086. The VRMMO market has been taking off in the last 20 years. Each title is more advanced than the previous. Finally, an unknown entrepreneur is creating a game that introduces an AI that fully manages the game independently. This unknown investor has partnered with Disney to create this game within the story of Star Wars. Tyler Sandberg is a 17 year old boy living in New York, USA. He lost his father in a space exploration accident and he has been living with his mother since that happened. Unfortunately, the two have been struggling financially ever since his father passed so they live a modest lifestyle. Since his father was an astronaut, he was always super into sci-fi content. Star Wars was his favorite. After finding out that there was a mysterious VRMMO Star Wars game coming out, he swore that he would make it big in the game and get him and his mom the lifestyle they deserve. DISCLAIMER: All characters, companies, and events in this novel --even those based on real world entities-- are entirely fictional. All representations are made up ... poorly. This novel contains coarse language and due to its content it should not be read by anyone.

Field Test Part III

(Sorry for no chapter on Wednesday. My date went a little too well… I also kinda got drunk and couldn't finish the chapter. Close enough XD)

On one, Titus launched his most powerful spell, arcane blast, demolishing the door in the process. The door wasn't just simply blown out of the wall. It was absolutely destroyed, chunks of it exploding inwards towards the lab. Fortunately, there was a wall of battle droids that caught the chunks like true gentlemen. They may have gotten scrapped in the process, but they did catch them.

The interesting thing about arcane magic is that it is essentially embodied as a blast of pure force energy. It's power is pure destruction incarnate and few things can withstand it.

Unfortunately, that wasn't even a quarter of the droids in the room. Tyler could only sigh upon seeing this. "Well, shit. Anyone got a solution to this?"

Titus chuckled. "Leave this to me, guild leader." He pulled his staff back, holding his hand in the front with his palm out. The force gathered into the staff, flowing through his body and into his hand. After channeling the force for a few moments, he casted his spell, arcane missiles.

Bright, lights of pure energy shot out of his hand in pulses. The pulses broke into countless projectiles that snaked through the air, completely under the control of Titus.

Like homing missiles, each of the approximately 70 projectiles collided into a droid each, taking down about 75% of the droids in the room. This left about 20 droids remaining which is easy pickings even if Tyler was alone.

Responding in kind, Tyler charged into the lab with his lightsabers out. However, before he could even cut down a singular droid, a maniacal voice called out in a german accent. "Don't move, Jedi."

Tyler froze upon seeing what was happening. Before him, Vindi was holding Padme in a headlock with a blaster held against her head. "Dr. Nosecone, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Vindi squinted his eyes in confusion. "Move even an inch and your friend's head will be littered with blaster bolts."

Ignoring the mad scientist, Tyler looked back towards Moo and raised his brow as if he was asking a question. Moo nodded, agreeing with the unspoken idea. Tyler nodded in kind.

Tyler looked back at Vindi and smirked. "Well, doctor, I'm afraid you are mistaken. You are under arrest for violation of the Sentient Rights bill passed by the Galactic Senate. I will now be taking you back to Coruscant to answer for your crimes."

Vindi blinked before breaking out into a fit of laughter. "Oh my, General, you are very funny. How do-"

Before he could even finish, Tyler swung up his left hand, closing it into a fist as he lifted it. Even with the element of surprise, he wasn't fast enough. Vindi was able to get a shot off right into Padme's head.

Fortunately, Moo had prepared a shield that she casted on Padme as soon as Tyler moved. Once Vindi got the one shot off, he was now paralyzed in mid air under control of the force.

Tyler scoffed. "Fucking idiot." He then threw Vindi against the wall, knocking him unconscious instantly. He then pressed a button on his bracelet. "Find the droid, I'd rather not have to go make an antidote. There have already been enough casualties on Ryloth."

He then clipped his lightsabers to his belt before using the force to pull Vindi into his right hand by the collar. "Set the charges, let's blow the joint. I'm taking this shitstain straight back to Coruscant. Get me a transport and I'll see you all on Ryloth."

Titus responded as the defacto second in command. "Yes, sir."

Tyler then looked at Padme. "Hey, jackass, come with me."

Padme was gobsmacked that she was just spoken to like that. "Excus-"

Tyler cut her off immediately. "No, stop. The amount of shit I've had to get you out of is absurd. Don't even think about complaining or I'll assign a whole battalion to follow you around. And trust me, the only person that can override my order is the chancellor."

Padme's expression sunk. "Fine. Jar Jar, let's go."

Jar Jar galloped over like the uncoordinated moron he is. "Misa come with yousa!"

Tyler dragged an unconscious Vindi through the underground complex with the representative duo following him in silence. Although it might seem that it was a bit awkward, Tyler enjoyed the silence.

Padme broke the ice. "Is everything alright, Draco?"

Tyler groaned as he threw Vindi against the wall in frustration. "UGHHHH! I'M SO DONE WITH THIS SHIT! I HAVEN'T SEEN MY FIANCE IN ALMOST TWO MONTHS! I'M A HUMAN BEING TOO YOU KNOW?"

Padme shook her head. "You really do overwork yourself. I know you enjoy all of this, but you really need some time off. I'll personally put in a request on behalf of the war council to the chancellor that you get at least a week off following your operation on Ryloth."

Tyler just sunk down to the floor, leaning against the wall. He grunted as his bottom hit the floor. "There's just so much fucking pressure man. I'm what, almost 22? I'm in charge of an army spanning half the galaxy for fucks sake. How does anyone do this?"

Padme sighed and knelt down in front of Tyler. "Draco, it is important that you make use of your people. Those around you are there to help you. You have a lot on your plate. You are responsible for a planet, a guild with over one hundred thousand members, a seat in the galactic senate, and our entire army. I know it's a lot but you need to delegate. It's part of being a leader. Those who follow you are just as important when it comes to the things you achieve. You can't do any of it without them."

Tyler closed his eyes and let out a deep exhale, letting his head tilt back and rest against the wall. "Thanks, Padme. I'm sorry for snapping on your earlier."

Padme smiled. "Don't worry about it. We've been friends long enough that something like that is inevitable to happen. And don't you worry. I'll make sure Emily gets off as well so you two can enjoy yourselves."

Tyler smiled, still keeping his eyes closed. "I'd like that. Maybe I could finally check out one of my resorts."

Padme chuckled. "Now that sounds like a good time."

A singular tear rolled down Tyler's face. It felt amazing to know that there'd be a short refuge in the near future. "Let's get back to Coruscant. I need a proper night's sleep before heading to Ryloth."
