Chapter 47

In the Genesis class Titan ship Aina was sitting in the commander's chair as the Admiral of the fleet, who was a Rakata, was checking to make sure all the ship systems were functioning and operating at full capacity before they left.

All the system's showed green all across the screen meaning that everything was working at full capacity as it is supposed to. So after everything checked out the Admiral checked on the fleet's situation.

The Fleet was almost ready to depart as the last few supplies were brought aboard various ships and the various captains were all on their respective ships.

They were also waiting in the thousand's of soldier's to get aboard their designated transport. Though with the discipline of the soldier's and how organized the Terran Military is, it won't take long for them to get ready.

The Admiral turned around in his chair and informed Aina of the progress of the fleet "My Lady the fleet is still loading troops and supplies which should take about 30 more minutes until everything's done, and all the ship's in the fleet have reported in" Informed the Admiral

"Okay Admiral in the meantime while we wait I will head down to my quarter's so until I get back you are in charge and inform me once the fleet is 100% ready" Ordered Aina as she stood up to walk to the door.

"Yes my lady" Said the Admiral as Aina walked out of the bridge and into the hallway.

Once in the Hallway Aina couldn't help but feel excited since she gets to show off her abilities to her Master and impress him. But she was also eager to fight since unlike her two sister's Yrena and Yona she likes to fight any foe even if they are stronger than her.

She wasn't saying that her sister's wouldn't do that but if they could avoid it they probably would while she would charge straight forward into battle.

But she knows to separate from that side of hers when she is leading people since if she is reckless then she could lose some of those people because of that.

So for this battle she will make sure to show her Master how capable a leader she is. No matter the challenge she was prepared to face it.

So after making her way to her quarter's Aina had sat on the floor on both her knees in a meditating position.

She went into a state of calmness as she used all of her willpower to focus on the battle ahead. She didn't want any distraction or anything to pop up while she was commanding the fleet.

The reason she is doing this is that unlike her sister's she has trouble focusing on just one thing at a time which could cloud her judgment during crucial moment's and make her give out the wrong command.

This will be her first real battle besides the simulation's that her teacher made her do and obviously the feeling from a simulation and real life was different.

She wasn't afraid she was just very anxious which is something that could make her make drastic decisions.

She remained in this state of calmness as she focused only on the battle ahead. Eventually 2 hours had passed, and she felt a presence approaching her door, so she stopped meditating and stood up.

Then a knock was heard at the door followed by a voice. "Lady Aina we are 10 minutes out from the enemy planet and our sensors have picked up lots of enemy activity" Said a soldier through the door.

"Okay I'll be right there" Said Aina as she opened the door and walked out. The soldier handed her a data pad with the enemy information on it.

"Here is the Data on the enemy's fleet capability all gathered from our first battle over Zakuul" Reported the soldier.

"That was fast" Said Aina referring to how short of a time it took for the Terran Military to gather information on the enemy fleet and their combat capabilities.

"Cortana has just finished analyzing the last bit of information and transmitted this to the ship's onboard computer" Explained the soldier

"This is very helpful I will have to thank this Cortana next time I meet her" Said Aina

But as she said this Cortana had appeared in front of her through a hologram.

"You can thank me in person Lady Aina" Said Cortana as Aina jumped back a little

"You can calm down Lady Aina I am just the ship's onboard A.I." Explained Cortana

"So Cortana is an A.I." Asked Aina

"Yes, although I'm not the original Cortana as I am, but a copy of her Program designed to be a part of the testing of the ship since it has new features designed for the Original Cortana, so really I am Cortana 2.0 except I am not better than the Original" Explained Cortana 2.0

"I see I never met with Cortana during my time with Master, so I thought she was a living being" Said Aina

"Well the Original Cortana is always quite busy, so she doesn't come out to talk to people that often, but she always keeps an eye out for Master's surroundings so even if she is busy she is still protecting Master from any danger, so she is probably 100% aware of who you are, but you haven't seen her yet" Explained Cortana 2.0

Just as Aina was about to respond, the soldier next to her interrupted "I'm sorry for interrupting Lady Aina, but we are 5 minutes away now" Reported the soldier.

Aina understood what he meant and decided to finish this conversation later "We will talk later after the battle is over Cortana 2.0 so wait until then" Ordered Aina

"As you command Lady Aina I am a part of the ship so anytime you need me you can call on me" Said Cortana 2.0 as she disappeared.

Aina didn't waste any time and headed back to the bridge of the ship which she had to take an elevator for.

After getting off the elevator Aina walked into the bridge and sat down in her commander's chair.

The Admiral started to report some new report about the enemy fleet while Aina listened.

A/N: Just as my other novel's this novel will go on Hiatus on January 17th because I am going to the Navy that day and will no longer be able to update.

Now I won't abandon this novel, but I also don't know how long the Hiatus will be, so I'm just giving everyone a heads-up.
