Flashes-Shining Brightly

The Pulse Sparrows entered the nightclub and split up. The Ghost sat up to the bar and ordered a drink, unaware the bartender had spiced it. He downed the drink and watched Clarity and Kay on the dance floor. Suddenly flashbacks flood his mind, he stumbled from the bar, his vision blurry and his heart racing. He staggered toward the door and outside. There he fell over behind the bar, convulsing, barely able to think or move, he couldn't call for help, and that's when the flashbacks took his mind.

-* Flashback *-

The sound of a gun shot rang out, the cold chill of blood loss entered his body, he was barely conscious.

"Someone get me a stretcher."

A man, not Rothschild, but seemingly important leaned down over him.

"My protege was stupid to shoot you, you're more valuable alive. I want you to see the future we create, trust me, once you see it you'll love it."

The Ghost finally went unconscious. The man had him patched up and flown to an unknown location.

"Sir, his wound has been patched up. He is stable for now."

"Good, prep him for the Cryo tube." The man looked at him.

"Trust me, everything will work out. Don't worry about your friends, your home or your people, they will be remade in a glorious fashion. Doctor, he's ready."

The tube was cold, and his body was trying to stay warm, he finally slipped into a deep unconscious sleep, unable to wake himself up.

As he opened his eyes, LQ was fighting off a group of drunks, while Clarity tried to get him to wake up.

"GHOST! GHOST! Please wake up!" she cried

"W-What....W-What happened?"

"You're wake! LQ! He's up! Don't move! Please stay still."

"WE'RE OUT, BUG OUT!" yelled LQ

The Pulse Sparrows pulled out of the bar, Clarity and Kay pulled The Ghost of the bar.

In the van, LQ checked him out.

"He's been drugged. Damn it, Kay, you need to keep him conscious, Clarity! FUCKING DRIVE!"

The van disappeared into the city lights as Kay tries desperately to keep the Ghost awake. He was stuck in a world he didn't understand.
