The Cryptid and Hope

As the two made their way back towards the battle. They came under fire from Black Vein soldiers. The Cryptid shielded Hope with his body, bullets punching into his odd flesh. He grabbed her and rushed towards the old self-storage place. He ducked inside as shouts of black veins grew closer.

Hope couldn't help but bush beet red. The way he shielded her, his arm holding her every time they were in danger.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the cryptid shifting back into his human-like form and coughing up blood.

Oh fuck... those planes hit you didn't they?

It's a scratch Hope.

I've never seen a scratch cause a bloody cough.

Pulling off her hoodie, it revealed her, curvy body, her hair pulled back, her glasses sitting on her face.... She pulled out her knife and cut a band of her hoodie and made the Cryptid shift back into his cryptid form. She wrapped the band around his wounds on his shoulder. He growled in pain, to which she distracted him with a well planted kiss. The Cryptid's sunk in eyes had seemingly vanished.

See all better! Hope smiled and held up a peace sign at him.

W-what was that?

Oh, I wanted to fix you up! Listen... You saved all of us in the simulation. You saved me, so thank you. She planted a soft kiss on the side of his mouth to which she cover her mouth. Your tongue tickles.

The Cryptid shook his head and laughed. We can't stay in here forever. I'll draw their attention, you break for the road past the Junkyard.

As he scampered around the corner, Hope's actions caught up with her, as she squealed in embarrassment. As she pushed open the door, a black vein soldier raised his rifle above her as to knock her down, only to find the Cryptid's jaw clamped down on his arm. His gaunt eyes were a blaze of red. As Hope ran, mind clearly elsewhere, the Cryptid ripped and tore into the black vein soldiers. He ripped heads from their necks, as she ran. Her white tank to untouched as her protector was covered in blood and viscera. Once she had reached the road, the screamed as the Cryptid planted her on his back and ran down the empty road back towards the fight. She blushed as she held onto him. Her bloody monster.

As the two reached to battle, the Ottawans had the Black Veins on the defense. Hope grabbed the rifle Cryptid had snagged for her. She opened fire at the Black Veins catching them off guard then ducking behind a car for cover. As the soldiers opened fire, they failed to see the Cryptid on his hind legs marching towards them, removing their rank and file as if they were tooth picks.

Overhead, Barbara and the B-24's were following the retreating black veins to find their base of operations. As the Cryptid cut down the black veins, one pulled out a javelin and locked onto Barbara's B-24. As the SAM left the weapon, the Cryptid caught it with in his teeth and crushed it. The explosion didn't phase him. He growled as the Ottawans encircled him, the last sieging member of the Black Veins.

This is a message to all of you. From all of Ottawa, the Demon Kingdom, Refugees of Ashfeld and the Government Bunker.

Stay.

 The

 fuck.

 Out

 Of

 Ottawa.

The Cryptid ripped his head off and stood next to his friends with Hope under his arm and a smile plastered on his face.

WE DID IT!

The resistance erupted in cheers and returned to their fortifications and sealed the city once again.
