Cecilia dropped her sword, the hilt slipping from her fingers as her gaze fell to the object the goblins were so desperately guarding.
They had fought fiercely to keep her from reaching it, and now, standing over the strange, glowing rock, her heart skipped a beat.
It was no ordinary lump of stone. This was something much more dangerous.
A huge chunk of blue rock pulsed softly, glowing faintly like a heartbeat.

'It's an Elemental rock,' she thought, her mind racing. The peculiar rocks were known to have the ability to absorb the power of an Endowment instantly and store it for later use.
She'd known that they had existed from the many textbooks they were mentioned in but had never seen one up close. And now, here it was, just within reach.
