Ding Xiang had already crafted the narrative, leaving Zhou Chong and Qingyun with the responsibility of conveying her tale to Ding Erzhu, Ms. Zhou, Ms. Fang, and the Land Officer.
In her account, Ding Xiang, fueled by anger and despair, escaped the ancestral hall. In the county city, she stealthily followed a caravan heading towards the province city. Fortunately, a sizable caravan bound for Huning City, a major northern border metropolis, was in need of additional hands. Despite the reluctance of many due to the arduous journey, Ding Xiang seized the opportunity.
Upon their arrival in Huning City, a fortuitous series of events led her to rescue a grateful general. Impressed by her character, the general arranged a match for her, and Ding Xiang, in turn, held admiration for him. The two eventually married in Huning City, and due to the demanding post-wedding commitments, she had not returned until now.
