Chapter 157 – Sol’s POV

Sol's POV

After that battle, I saw that Robert was willing to lose so he would make Emma satisfy her quest to defeat him. But it seems that Robert was still considered a rival to her.

"What a stubborn girl she is." I sighed.

I then looked at Blaise and said, "Let's go, Blaise."

"Right," Blaise responded back, before we stood up and left the audience just before Emma's round would start to go to the back rooms to see Robert.

There we opened the door, and Robert was dusting his cloak and inner clothes when we arrived.

"Oh, hey, guys," Robert greeted, before finishing dusting his clothes off.

"You did the right thing out there, Robert," I said to him regarding his fight with Emma.

Upon hearing that, Robert was surprised at first, then became positive of his decision, saying, "Yeah, I felt that way, too.

"Yes," I replied back.

Then, someone came to the back rooms. It was Lain, who had managed to recover and restore his mana, and it seemed that he had heard everything.

"You lost against Tori?" he said to Robert.

Upon hearing that, we looked at him, and Robert replied back, "Oh, yes, I did, on purpose."

"Oh, you do?"

"Yes, and plus, her real name is Emma Demonheart, of the Demonheart clan."

"What?" Lain responded while being surprised a bit. "Did Kawasaki-san register her under a fake name?"

"Yes, because he only knew Robert's name," I explained in response.

"Oh, that's why," Lain replied back.

"Yeah, he did," Blaise responded.

"Okay, shall we continue watching Emma's round?" I asked them. "Or, go back to the palace estate?"

But then, Robert, after some thinking, suggested, "How about me and big sis will go back to the estate first? Peter-kun and Zarah-chan might have battles later."

"He has one at 4:10 p.m.," I responded, "so okay, you two may go first."

"How about stopping by at the inn where I was staying?" Lain chimed in.

Before I would answer, Robert readily responded, "Sure! Why not?"

"Is that okay, Sol-san?" Blaise asked me.

"Sure, that would be okay," I agreed.

With my permission, Robert and Blaise left the arena with Lain, leaving me and Peter in the arena.

After that, I turned to Peter and said, "You know what to do."

"On it, headmaster." Peter nodded, before I would leave the back rooms.

Shortly thereafter, I was walking back to the audience when I saw someone peeking at the back rooms through a hole in the wall. Suspicious, I approached him and asked, "What are you doing, sir?" This startled the hooded person, and he looked at me.

"Are you spying?" I asked again.

"Um, uh...," that person responded, probably trying to lie to me.

I then took off his hood and grabbed him by his clothes, before eating his mana at a constant rate.

As a Spiritheart, this is my ability, Mana Eater, a Tier-8 magic.

"Answer me!" I demanded an explanation.

"O-Okay! Okay! I'll speak!" the man responded in giving up.

With that, I put him down, and he gasped for air as a side effect of having his mana eaten.

"I was a spy for the king of Vanworth!" he admitted, before finishing gasping for air.

This surprises me a lot.

"What was that king was up to?" I asked in my mind.
