Spirit Eater [Dropped]

Synopsis updated as of Jan 24, 2020 -- I'll be blunt, this is also based on several other works here, and loosely related to other works like the Dragon Age games. Most of the concept for this work came from a mod for Dragon Age: Origins called Spirit Eater Class. Too lazy to explain, but it's on Nexus Mods if you need to find it. At the bottom of this synopsis will be a list of titles that I used as references and bases. The cover picture is a screenshot of one of my characters in Dragon Age: Origins killing the Archdemon. (DA:O is owned by BioWare, so while I own the screenshot, I don't own anything in the game.) Influences: -Advent of the Archmage -Dragon Age Series -The Elder Scrolls Saga -Various Mythologies

Secrets Within The Pillar (2)

Echadir had listed off the Light Faction individuals with informed ease as if he'd known about them his entire life. He even included one of their most recognizable titles, even for the two young lads, who hadn't done anything worth being titled yet. Once again, as they had expected, the three people present chalked it up to the High Priestess's abilities. No wonder Echadir was so casual and accepting of whatever involved the Ancient Elf legend. The more abnormal it sounded, the more average it appeared to be, considering her being debatably one of the most powerful beings in existence.

"For the Dark Faction delegates, the list begins with Sarrith Zoam, Dark Elf Race Sovereign, Lv. 13 Darkness Mage, Zoam Royal Family Leader, and Joslan Gothal, Dark Elf Race Sovereign, Lv. 14 Assassin King, Gothal Royal Family Leader." The first pair of Dark Faction individuals were, unsurprisingly, from the Dark Elf Race. As they were the only species with multiple rulers, having one from each of the families would make sense. As for why only two were named when there were three families, it was due to the fact that the third would become traitors to Andor. Sarrith was the leader of the magic-focused Zoam clan, reigning as its most powerful member to have been born since the Heroic Era. If not for his status as a ruler, he would have taken the post of Darkness Archmage without fail. Joslan led the Rogue-based Gothal clan as its greatest assassin, even greater than his predecessors, and he was well-known for only having failed one mission: the attempted assassination of one Crescius Vinipter twenty-odd years ago. The two named rulers were also close to each other in a rivalrous kinship manner, a fact that made the two clans mingle together enough to be confused for one another.

"Next, Orul Noltur, Orc Race Sovereign, Lv. 15 Axemaster, Conqueror of the Wastelands." As the famed leader of the Ugan Empire, the Orc homeland of numerous tribes and clans, Orul was notorious for being a great ruler and commander, exceeding all but one of his predecessors in both achievements and capabilities. During his 50-some years as the ruler of the Ugan Empire, Orul had quelled at least three rebellions, one of which involved a quarter of the tribes in the empire. If his military prowess was not already formidable, Orul also possessed a super-rare mutation as a result of his heritage. His mother had been a strange fusion of Orc and a bull-type Magic Beast due to an accident during her shaman training. Their bodies and souls combined into a being that resembled an Orc, save for a pair of bull horns coming from her head and being far stronger than any natural-born Orc aside from his father. The uniqueness manifested in him as a mutation that made him all but immune to elemental magic, a feat that had only been observed in the Dragon Clan and in certain Magic Beasts. As such, he is the one individual that most mages do not wish to get in a fight with.

"Lihra Hashevil, Blood Elf Race Sovereign, Lv. 13 Life-Blood Mage, Viper of the Crimson Hills." Probably the most infamous of all the sovereigns alive was Lihra Hashevil, who had mastered the innate Blood Elf magic to horrifying heights. Combined with her vast knowledge of Life magic, a branch considered to be as difficult to learn as the Three Overlords, she developed a new spell style she termed as Essence magic. As long as she had a drop of lifeblood, she could infuse her magic into it and form a clone of the original, with few imperfections. Her greatest mastery was using it on herself, making use of it to thwart assassination attempts, masquerade as secret agents in the Light Factions, and even manage to keep herself from death as long as part of her lifeblood remained.

"Curt Mathesius, Fallen Race Sovereign, Lv. 12 Dual Wind Mage-Assassin, Soundless Killer." While Lihra was considered the most infamous of the Dark Faction sovereigns, the one that took stock as the most terrifying was Curt, one of only a handful of known Dual Class individuals, and most notably being a master of both to great heights. While he is not a true assassin or mage, at least in a traditional sense, his master of wind magic has managed to greatly bolster his abilities in killing with speed and without being caught. By learning to create a sound barrier, its size still being unknown, he can expertly remove the potential interruptions caused by his targets or himself. His greatest feat was destroying a bandit camp of 300-some men alone, all without anyone catching on or hearing a thing.

"Waythe, Undead Race Sovereign, Lv. 13 Lich King, Unrivaled Necromancer." As no undead could be born, a royal family does not exist for the Undead. Instead, it is simply based on individual power. The strongest being shall hold the highest position, a strength-based hierarchy. While Waythe himself does not have great physical strength, with his enormous mana reserves and deep connection with the element of Death, he is considered to be the only sovereign that can single-handedly crush a kingdom. With the power to raise and command near-endless quantities of undead beings, the lich is considered to be the most difficult to kill of all known sovereigns. If that wasn't enough, Waythe also proved himself a master of Water magic, particularly of the frost variation.

"Finally, Atlaros Uvelthyn, Dark Elf Race Pseudo-Sage, Lv. 21 Martial God, Slaughterer of Demonkin." The last person did not need to be introduced, given that his capabilities were even more well-known than the previous few to those that know of his existence. As the only living physical combatant of the Heroic Era to date, Atlaros can singlehandedly crush all of the presently living sovereigns with ease, even before they could move. Only the Dragon Clan would dare say they can survive one of his blows head-on.

999, woohoo. Just 1 shy of 1k. Screw it, not important. I got this chapter done early for once. I'm very happy considering how I had to find these damn names... Appendices will be updated later.
