Chapter 23: The Reckoning

Dr. Octopus: "Justice? Whose justice are you talking about?"

Peter laughed, looking at his clones. "Whose justice, he says. Hahahahaha! Whose justice?"

Then Peter turned to Dr. Octopus, his face dead serious. "My justice, Otto. My revenge for what you have done to me."

Hobgoblin: "But you don't take revenge, Spider, do you?"

Electro: "You're a hero, Spider. You wouldn't do that."

Rhino: "Stop pranking us, Spider. Call the cops, send us to jail—that's the only justice you do."

Peter clutched his stomach as he couldn't control his laughter. "Hahahah, 'pranking'—hahaha!"

Peter then turned serious. "Do it."

Nexus: [Ok, Peter, it's playing now.]

A hologram flickered to life, projecting a video in front of everyone.

In the video, Peter, in his Spider-Man suit, could be seen cautiously entering a warehouse. Finding no one present, he carefully inspected the area. Suddenly, before he could react, sand grabbed him. He struggled to free himself, but his senses were overwhelmed as he saw Rhino charging at him, crashing him against a wall. As he tried to get up, a spear stabbed him in his right hand—it was Kraven. Kraven then yanked the spear out, but Peter was grabbed by Dr. Octopus's mechanical arms and continuously slammed on the ground. Peter fought back, kicking Octavius away, but Hydro-Man splashed him with a massive amount of water.

Peter, still in shock, was electrocuted by Electro, who left him before he could lose consciousness. Then Francine, the second Electro, electrocuted him again. Peter managed to punch her, but Tombstone punched him in the face, and Hammerhead followed with another punch. Shocker used his sonic attack on Peter's ears, causing him to scream and spit blood. Speed Demon then punched Peter towards Hobgoblin, who threw bombs at him. Peter's suit was tattered, and his injuries were severe, but he still stood up. Lizard and Vulture slashed his back, and Scorpion stung his leg, slamming him to the ground again. Peter started crawling away.

He saw Miles, and in his beaten state, he reached out for help. Miles made him stand up only to stab him with a knife. Peter, shocked, looked up to see it was Chameleon in disguise. As Chameleon pushed him, Beetle came from behind and splashed a pain-inducing toxin on Peter's wounds. Peter screamed, his eyes turning red from the pain.

The villains started laughing, but a sudden noise and a siren distracted them. Peter took the opportunity to web away and somehow escaped.

The video ended.

All the spiders, Hope, Laura, Roxanne, and the cameraman were shocked. They knew Peter had been beaten up by the villains, but they had no idea it was such a one-sided, cowardly devastation. Many of them had tears in their eyes, looking at Peter. They looked at the Sinister Seventeen as if they were monsters—no, calling them monsters was insulting to monsters. At least monsters kill their enemies rather than torturing them.

Peter: "After that day, I lost trust in myself. I had to keep myself together, and I promised myself—never again. And this is the action for that promise."

Peter then approached Dr. Octopus. He restrained him and methodically dismantled his mechanical arms while ensuring he remained conscious. He took the first mechanical arm, and Octavius screamed.

Peter looked at the arm. "How many times have you used this to beat me up?"

He took the second mechanical arm. Octavius, still suffering from the first, screamed more loudly.

Peter: "You still couldn't beat me with these."

He pulled the third mechanical arm.

Peter: "So you asked to form a team with the other fuckers."

He looked at the last arm and pulled it while kicking Octopus on the back. Octopus had never felt such pain in his life, forcing him to experience the loss of his primary means of power and control.

Peter looked at Dr. Octopus, who had a fearful look in his eyes. "You fucking ambushed me when you saw that even together with those fuckers you couldn't do anything."

Peter then turned to Hobgoblin.

Peter took his fear bombs. "You like to use these quite a lot, don't you?"

Peter administered controlled doses of Hobgoblin's own fear gas and other debilitating chemicals, causing him to experience intense fear and physical weakness. Hobgoblin screamed loudly as if he had seen a nightmare, slamming his head on the ground, begging for mercy.

Peter then approached Lizard (Dr. Curt Connors).

Peter: "Dr. Connors, do you know that reptiles, much like yourself, are cold-blooded animals? Do you know what happens to them if they are exposed to extreme cold?"

Peter then formed ice using ice magic and Ben's hybrid powers. Lizard had a fearful look in his eyes, wiggling, shaking, and growling. Peter used his talon and pierced through his scales, exposing him to extreme cold, forcing repeated transformations between his human and lizard forms, causing physical strain and pain.

Peter then looked at Kraven the Hunter.

Peter: "Hey Kraven, remember when you literally buried me alive and then took my identity?"

Kraven panicked in fear. "Spider, let me go. I apologize for everything. Please, let me go. I beg you."

Peter stabbed his talons right where Kraven had stabbed him before. "Isn't this payback, Kraven? Why be afraid if you know that?"

Peter then injected him with a sensory deprivation toxin through his claws. He alternated between periods of complete sensory deprivation and extreme sensory overload, disrupting Kraven's keen senses and causing psychological and physical distress.

Seeing Kraven like this, Miles couldn't hold back. He thought it was too cruel.

Miles: "Spidey, please stop this. This isn't right."

Peter ignored him completely, still busy with Kraven's torture. He increased the dosage.

Kraven screamed, blood coming out of his eyes like tears.

Miles, this time louder: "Spider-Man! You didn't teach me this. You told me to treat everyone with kindness. This isn't you. Stop, or else!"

Garou: "This guy, does he have a death wish?"

Togi: "He's courting death."

Jason: "Stop this, or else he says."

Peter: "He said I taught him, right?"

Peter then removed his talon from Kraven's arm. It was bloodied with Kraven's blood. He kicked Kraven to the side.

Peter then walked slowly towards Miles. He was much taller than before, overshadowing Miles and the others. Ben came towards Miles's side to support him.

Miles: "Spidey—"

But Peter stopped him with a hand gesture and unleashed his aura, putting heavy pressure on all of them. Then he wiped his bloodied hand on Ben's and Miles's suits.

Peter, with a heavy tone: "What did you call me?"

Miles, in a low tone: "Spider-Man."

Peter: "Huh? I didn't hear ya?"

Miles: "Spider-M—"

Peter, in a loud tone: "Sir! Call me Sir!"

Peter then looked at Ben and then again at Miles. "Sir, from today onwards."

Peter looked at the other spiders. "Yes, Sir."

Peter then looked at Laura, Hope, Roxanne, and the other reporters. "Okay, Sir."

Peter, in an authoritative tone: "JUST SIR!"

Miles, with his head down: "Yes, Sir."

Peter then walked back to the Sinisters. "We go through this because I am going through this. If any of you sons of bitches have a problem, come at me. But before you do," Peter looked at his clones, who became alert and ready to fight, "you have to go through them, of course."

Peter then walked towards Chameleon.

Chameleon, seeing Peter coming towards him, begged: "Sir, please leave me. I promise I will not leave my prison cell my whole life. Leave me, Sir."

Peter looked amused. "You are quite quick to pick up things, Cammy. But sorry, rules are rules. You did something wrong; you have to pay. And you were quite similar to your brother in this case, taking my identity and robbing banks. Seriously, robbing banks."

Peter: "Well, Dmitri, I know quite a lot about you. How you and your brother, Kravy boy here, were tortured with interrogation tools by your father. While Kravy boy overcame that, you made it your fear."

Peter took out interrogation tools with pain compliance. He used advanced interrogation techniques with pain compliance tools that he got from Jason. He started to exploit Chameleon's fear of pain and physical discomfort. He also took help from Ben's alien Gutrot to make an illusion gas to make Chameleon think his father was doing the torture, not him.

Peter then looked at Rhino.

Rhino: "You can't do anything to me, Spider. Torture like this works on them. I have thick skin; your things wouldn't work on me."

Peter: "Really? Don't be so disappointed, Rhino. I have just the thing for you."

Peter used the Biomnitrix: Gravastar.

Peter used gravity with magnetic interference to create confinement and put pressure on Rhino. It was like he placed Rhino in a hydraulic press that applied constant, increasing pressure, exploiting Rhino's fear of confinement and causing physical discomfort without immediate lethal threat.

*Crack* Rhino's bones cracked under pressure.

Rhino screamed in pain. "Spider, let me out. Let me out! It hurts! My bones are cracking. Please, save me. It hurts! It hurts!"

Peter: "Wasn't your skin tough though? Couldn't it protect your bones?"

Rhino, crying: "I was wrong. Let me out, please."

Peter deactivated the pressure and approached Rhino. He put his hand on Rhino's horn and sliced it off with his talon.

Peter showed Rhino his horn. "Next time, it won't be just your horn, Rhino."

Peter looked at his next victims, the two Electros.

Peter: "Max and Francine, what a pair you both are. When one was missing, the other came to fill in. Now both are being a pain in the ass."

Max: "Spider, let us go. We won't cross you again. Let it slide, please."

Francine: "Sir, please don't make this personal."

Peter: "Personal? Francine, this is personal. This is very much personal. You came into my life, tried to make a relationship with me, succeeded, and then betrayed my trust. You bitch, there are limits that people don't cross. You went far beyond that."

Peter looked at Max. "Wouldn't cross me again? Believe me, Max, when I'm done with you, even the thought of me will not cross your mind. Today will be your worst nightmare."

Peter grabbed them both. He used magic and his powers to perform an Electricity Reversal on Max. Peter used a controlled environment where Max's own electrical energy was turned against him, causing pain through feedback loops.

For Francine, Peter used something different. He used Electromagnetic Interference to subject her to intense electromagnetic fields that disrupted her electrical abilities, causing painful interference and loss of control.

After Peter was finished with the Electros, he looked at the others.

Peter: "So shall we continue?"
