When Ghost returned, he let out a sigh of relief. Willow had left the window flap open, allowing him to swoop directly into the room. If she'd closed it, Ghost wasn't even sure how he could get back inside. He severely doubted that the innkeeper would bring a giant eagle upstairs to a client's room.
When Ghost entered the room, his three companions were already fast asleep. The three sisters had piled together on the one bed in the room. Ghost took a few looks at the thin layer of hay covering the bed, but eventually decided against stealing some for himself.
He would practically have to snatch it out from beneath the kids to get any.
'Eh? Since when am I so soft as to not snatch from someone because they're a kid?'
Ghost sauntered up to the bed, an arrogant expression on his feathered face.
'But it might wake them up… that wouldn't be good.'
Ghost paused and stood a few dozen centimeters from the bed.
