A Failed Persuasion

Emmy stare in disbelief as the coach send Karim out of the field, bringing in a new person.

"What's this man doing? The coach has finally gone crazy."

Emmy wanted to shout out but he couldn't, everyone will think he has gone mad, so he said in a neutral voice.

"I think I mentioned that before, your coach is crazy."

Sunny said as he stare at the screen, watching the match uninterested.

"I feel like giving him a hot punch, he had done the right thing changing the formation but why the hell did he have to remove one of the key players."

Emmy himself have analyzed the match with his system, so he knew the coach have done the right thing by changing the formation from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 but he couldn't understand his removal of the captain, according to the information he got from the system, Karim as one of the key players was supposed to join Joe at the midfield and together, they can score goals and also create an opening for the strikers to kick in.

Of course, if they both know what to do and are capable of doing it. But still, Emmy couldn't understand the coach intentions, only if he had another key player he want to bring in which Emmy could not see any capable player among the substitution.

"Hey, your show will start in fifteen minutes so get your mind and eyes off the screen, if you can, and think about your own issue. Their loss is not your fault and you should be happy not worry for them.

The crazy coach have belittled your skills so let him regret his decision."

Sunny said after seeing Emmy's worried face, but what he didn't know is that Emmy isn't worry at all, he was simply thinking of what he would've done to turn the table to their side if he was with them on the field. There are many things he could do with Joe by his side, they could easily infiltrate their defense and destroy their keeper, their defense is not as strong as that of the Lions and their keeper is not as dangerous as that of the Tigers, so they're not undefeated.

Also Joe has taken his ability to the next level, maybe the boy's ability is now at the third level, he had been displaying different set of skills on the field which even their opponent could not stop but he didn't find a suitable partner that could help him, John is just there not supporting the boy in any crucial way apart from yelling at him to pass the ball, but Emmy have played more than two matches side by side with Joe and they've understand each others play a bit so Emmy knew they can both do a lot if he was on the field with them.

But Emmy isn't wishing for that, he wanted them to face their loss, make the team got humiliated at school when they got back as the first to get eliminated in all events, and make the coach regret the decision of not using him by facing the consequences from the Principal.

What Emmy is planning is to display a set of skills here that would make everybody know about him and to make the video get to his school Principal, he knew that would spell trouble for the coach if the Principal saw his skills and found out that he's a student of their school but the coach did not use him.

A dark smile appear on his face.

"10 more minutes to go, hope you're not feeling nervous."

Sunny asked with a smile.

"Not at all, in fact, I feel empowered."

"EMMY!"

They heard a scream from the back which made everyone turn around and started whispering.

Turning around, Emmy saw Karim running over to him with sweat running down his face as he completely ignored the piercing gaze of the people around him and their whispers.

"Emmy, I've been looking everywhere for you."

Karim said with a smile as he approach him.

"Don't tell me it's what I'm thinking, did he got removed just to look for you?"

Sunny asked with a smile.

Everyone stare as Karim approach the two.

"Isn't that the boy that got removed on the field now?"

"What is he doing here."

"Emmy? Who's Emmy? Or did he mean to say Sunny, our musician with angelic voice."

"Don't tell me he got substitute and came over here just to meet Sunny?"

"Captain? What happened."

Emmy asked with a fake surprise look.

"Emmy please, we need you, we must not lose this match, the coach asked me to look for you and I know you would be here, please come with me."

Karim said with a pleading and innocent look.

Sunny and Emmy smile at the same time and speak at the same time.

"Did you forget I register for the Talent Exhibition event?"

"That crazy coach of yours must have gone mad, what the hell is he thinking."

Karim stare at the two not knowing who to answer first, but he gave Sunny a strange look and answer Emmy.

"I know, but you haven't done your first performance so it should be fi-."

"I refuse, and I think you forgot that my name is not on the squad list."

Emmy interrupted him.

"Don't worry about that, coach will sort it o-."

"I hate it when you mention the word 'Coach', tell me what he is thinking."

Again, Karim got interrupted by Sunny. Now a clear frustration is written on his, what's wrong with this two, he wanted to lash out at Sunny and beat the hell out of him, then forcefully take Emmy to the coach, but he couldn't do that, he can forcefully take him there but not even the coach can force someone to play, so he had to be careful. And also, he didn't want to harm either of them.

Taking a deep breath, he glanced at Sunny and said.

"See, you should be helping me to persuade your brother, not to make things worse."

"Why would I listen to you and what's in for me if I persuade him, go bring your crazy coach here to persuade him on his knees."

Sunny replied furiously, they're starting to attract attention.

"Please, I beg you, just do this once and I promise to pay you back in the future, help me persuade him and don't make things worse."

Karim pleaded almost crying.

"Oh well, I love it when people owe me a favor."

Sunny replied with a dark smile and turn to Emmy who had is face frowned.

"And who told you I would listen to you."

Emmy said as Sunny turn to him.

"Then I will break your leg so you won't even be able to display a skill here."

Sunny replied with a mischievous smile but he could see that Emmy isn't joking, the frown on his face even grow.

"Okay, do it if you can."

Emmy said.

Knowing that Emmy isn't going to answer anytime soon, Sunny move over to him and whisper into his ears.

"See, this is your time to shine, I know you have a set of skills you wish to show here and you really want the coach to regret his decision, but you can actually show those skills on the field and also put the coach in a tough situation. Just go there and make a deal with him, something like, you'll be the team captain or assistance coach if you bring glory back to the team."

Sunny whisper into his ear with a mischievous smile but Emmy simply turn around and reply with his arms folded.

"Stupid boy, I refuse."

Sunny put his palm on his face dejectedly.

'Damn, tough bastard.'

"Emmy please, just mention it, what do you need us to do for you, please anything."

Karim said after seeing Sunny's failure.

"Nothing, I refused."

But just at that moment, a system message appeared, slightly blocking Emmy's sight and at the same time, Sunny leaned over and whisper into his ear.
