Leko's Help - Part 2

After hearing all that, they let the matter go but not without any punishment.

"Leko, even if he was in trouble, he still committed a crime. Do you think it is alright to let someone go just because they are in desperate condition?", the one with the yellow jacket asked.

Leko shook his head after hearing that and said, "Of course not."

"And he is no exception either. He has to go and serve in the prison for three months for the small crime of attempting theft.", Leko said with a stern expression on his face.

"N-no."

"No sir..."

"Please…", the boy was desperate.

He had many kids to look after and hence cannot afford to go to prison right now, no matter how short it was.

He begged them to show mercy, but that term wasn't known in this world. Without regard for the boy, the gentlemen asked the guards and knights nearby, to arrest him.

The knights arrived and were about to take the boy with them when suddenly, the boy emitted a Beast Wave.

A brown-colored smoke arose from his ankle to heel part which blasted away from his sending shockwaves and pushing the knights back a bit.

It surprised not only the guards but also the two men who were adamant about having him sent to the prison.

"A Beast Cultivator?", they were utterly surprised by seeing this.

Well, the yellow jacket gentleman was still grabbing his right hand despite him displaying the Beast Wave. He wasn't powerful enough to force him to let go of his hand.

But yes, after they realized that he was a beast cultivator, both he let go of his hand slowly, but eventually. That was because the boy was too young and already had eaten a beast's heart.

'Did he steal?'

'But unless he had killed the beast himself, he wouldn't awaken his beast soul…', both of them thought.

The knights, who were initially shocked, approached him again to capture him as no matter what, he still had committed a crime.

"Do not touch me!", he shouted as he said this.

Just as he said that a wolf-like beast appeared behind him. It was just a soul – a Beast soul that was huge enough and looked just like the 3D projects that could be seen during the analysis.

It was brown in color, just like his hair. As he shouted, the beast roared. It sent chills down everyone's spine. It looked just like a werewolf!

'What am I seeing…?'

'This boy…'

'He-'

'A beast cultivator of Lv.4?', the one with the black coat asked this to himself.

'How could a poor and young boy has a superb beast soul from a Wild-type branch and have already reached Lv.4 without any support and guidance?'

This was quite uncommon. Not only did a poor boy, who was probably an orphan, killed a beast, knew to eat its heart, ate it, and then started cultivation, but also knew how to release a Beast Wave and intimidate others! Unless there was indeed someone helping him, this wasn't normally possible.

The latter could have been just an instinct or by chance, but the earlier things couldn't be mere luck.

"Boy, calm down…", said the man with the yellow jacket.

*Zoom*

He left six consecutive Beast Wave five of which was generated from his navel point and the last one from his ankle.

He was Adrian, Lv.63 Supreme General. The man with the black coat was Norsar, Lv.61 Supreme General. Both of them were friends and ran a small institute of Beast Cultivators.

After seeing the boy, the first thing that popped into their mind was regarding his luck.

As for Leko, he saw the boy's talent.

The six consecutive yellow-colored waves that Adrian emitted, completely suppressed the boy's powers and pinned him to the ground yet again. The pressure of an Lv.63 was no joke!

Leko, who was surprised as well, smiled as he approached Adrian and Norsar and told them about taking the boy to their institute and training him.

Both of them didn't reject this. However, they knew not how to explain this to the boy and ask him to join them after everything they made him go through.

"Leko…"

"Can you handle this case for us?", Adrian whispered in Leko's ears.

He smiled and after nodding his head he went towards the boy to tell him what they had decided.

"Boy, they-", he explained to him the situation.

He denied it at first but when Leko explained about the comfort and relief of being in an institute, the boy accepted but only under one condition – his sisters and brothers should also be allowed to enter the institute.

Their lives will become so much better this way and that's all he wanted. When Leko relayed his words to Adrian and Norsar, they accepted it immediately.

Being able to get one talented Beast Cultivator was worth the cost.

And when everything was said and done, the boy had to thank Leko who was kind and asked the gentlemen about this idea.

Years after, he came to this village to express his gratitude only to end up falling in love here and becoming a drunkard and a playboy.

He never got a chance to thank Leko properly nor did he ever think about thanking him as he became busy with his useless love life.

He shed some tears as he gripped the black cloth on Leko's body. Ai, who stood there, watched all of them mourn. She could do nothing other than wait for Leo to return.

And while she was waiting, one of the ladies, who was a flower vendor, said, "It would be hard for the orphanage to hold a funeral worthy enough for Sir Leko with its limited budget…"

"I will give the flowers that are needed for the funeral…"

"This is the least that I can do…", she said.

Following her, many others started to offer things, "I will give clean clothes."

"I will make a coffin…"

"I will-"

And one by one, all of them took some roles to do some tasks.

After seeing and hearing all these, Darion smiled as he thought, 'So I was not the only one who received your kindness and help, Sir Leko…'

'May you rest in peace…'
