Magic

It's been about another 2 years since Quill has arrived, he has gained more control over his small body and learned more about the world he is living in.

There are 4 races in this world. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs.

All of them mainly live on their respective continents but it is not uncommon to see another to see for example a Human in Elven land.

There is also a larger continent, where all of the races live together, a hub per se. This is where the big magic schools are, (that's right, magic, I'll get more into this later.) and all the powerful people typically come from.

Though the race respective continents also have magic schools, they don't come close to the Hubs schools.

Quill found out all of this information by asking why he and his mother are green, and he found that he was of the Orc race and that his father was an Elf.

He also asked why he never sees his father, but she avoided the topic. Looks like something not good.

Over the 2 years, he can finally walk without stumbling (too much anyway) and can talk a bit. While he may not be able to talk much, it is still better than babbling in another language.

And also ever since he was born into this world, Quill noticed there was some sort of magical particles in the air. After all, in his previous world there were magical particles there too, but just, not to this scale.

Before, it was all just golden particles of different sizes. But now there are more types than Quill could count. He could see all the colors of the rainbow plus more.

'I still don't know what the different colors are for. And I can only absorb the golden orbs from before...'

In his previous world, one would absorb the golden orbs in order to strengthen the body and mind. And once absorbed, they would then become energy to be used as they wished. They would make swords, shields, armor, anything the mind could think of.

This doesn't seem to be how it is here. While the orbs can be absorbed the energy wasn't usable like before, he could feel it, just not control it.

'Maybe I need to unlock something first...' Quill thought

But just what is he missing?
