Chapter 20: Titan Giant Ape

In the distance, it seemed like a shooting star streaked across the night sky. Zhou Hao's mind was still somewhat dizzy, and everything felt surreal, even the wind had stopped.

The world became quiet in an instant, and an invisible pressure enveloped the surroundings.

Zhou Hao quickly stood up, and Zhao Wuji had already rushed out of the tent, his eyes filled with unprecedented horror. An immense aura erupted without reservation.

With a low roar, his Martial Soul instantly fused with his body, and his towering figure became like a solid fortress.

"Everyone, quickly, run at the fastest speed towards the forest outside, and don't look back," Zhao Wuji shouted loudly. "Oscar, give everyone Mushroom Sausages! Run!"

The others were awakened and rushed out of the tent, only to see Zhao Wuji in a state of alarm that they had never seen before. They were all surprised, wondering what could have happened to make someone with the strength of a Spirit Saint so panicked.

But there was no time to think too much; they could only understand that something terrible had occurred.

Zhou Hao's expression also changed as he looked at Xiao Wu, who was standing behind Tang San. She had her head down, her face was dull, and she looked preoccupied.

Sure enough, what should come has come.

In this place, apart from this one, there was hardly any soul beast that could make Zhao Wuji so alarmed.

Suddenly, a strong wind swept through, and the large trees behind the camp were easily parted like wheat, instantly crushed to the ground.

A figure as massive as a mountain emerged, completely blocking the moonlight.

The overwhelming sense of suffocation made it difficult for everyone to catch their breath.

The appearance of the Titan Great Ape resembled a gigantic black gorilla, its entire body covered in shiny black fur, faintly shimmering with a metallic lustre under the starlight. It currently stood on all fours, and its height at its shoulders was almost eight meters.

It's hard to imagine how terrifying it would be if it stood up. Its lantern-sized eyes flickered with a golden sheen. In addition, its body was covered with mysterious red patterns, radiating heat and emanating an intimidating aura.

Its cultivation of a full 100,000-years had made its body unbelievably strong. Each protruding muscle is like a hill, even more solid than granite.

Zhao Wuji immediately recognized it—the legendary King of the Forest, the Titan Great Ape.

This Soul Beast was too frightening. Such a massive body could move through the night without making any sound, even concealing its breathing.

Tang San also reacted, his usually composed voice trembling.

The appearance of the Titan Great Ape in any soul-beast forest meant it was an absolute dominant presence. No soul beast dared to challenge its authority because the outcome was always the same—death.

They possessed unparalleled strength and speed, with almost no flaws in their attacks and defences. They were a kind of soul beast that had evolved to perfection.

What was most terrifying was that they could unleash various skills akin to soul techniques. Even Zhou Hao's Dark Gold Fearclaw Bear Martial Soul, at the same level of cultivation, could only withstand two strikes at most.

Despair filled Zhao Wuji's heart. The gorilla-like creature in front of him probably had a cultivation of over 50,000-years, and he had no experience dealing with this level of opponent.

No one knew the true abilities of the Titan Great Ape because anyone who had experienced it had long since become food for the Star Dou Great Forest.

"Respected King of the Forest, we have no intention to offend. If this is your territory, we are willing to leave immediately," Zhao Wuji took a deep breath and spoke respectfully. 

He knew that soul beasts of this level could communicate in human language and possessed intelligence rivalling humans.

Zhao Wuji attempted to communicate with it. In the eyes of this creature, their group was as insignificant as ants. As long as the Titan Great Ape was in a good mood today, there might still be hope for everyone to survive.

Zhu Zhuqing's face turned pale, filled with sadness. She looked towards Zhou Hao in despair, only to see him wearing a carefree expression. Suddenly, Zhu Zhuqing was no longer as afraid. She walked over, mustered her courage, and gently took Zhou Hao's hand.

The Titan Great Ape looked at the seven shining Spirit Rings on Zhao Wujin's body, filled with hostility. It raised both arms and smashed them down, causing a violent gust of wind. Zhao Wuji's body radiated a golden light as all of his Spirit Rings glowed, rushing towards the Titan Great Ape.

With a resolute look, he looked back and said, "Zhou Hao, Mubai, I'll hold it off. You two must ensure everyone's safety and lead them out."

Tears welled up in everyone's eyes, but they couldn't cry. Dai Mubai's expression was complex. He knew that with his current strength, he would likely be torn to shreds by the aftermath of the battle. Tang San's voice sank, "Everyone, run! We can only save as many as we can in this situation. We are completely powerless."

Zhao Wuji only took a casual blow and already spat out blood, his face as pale as paper. He let out a loud roar as his pitch-black seventh soul ring suddenly expanded. A strong black light spread all over his body, revealing his martial soul's true form, the Vigorous Vajra Bear.

His figure quickly swelled up like a balloon. In the blink of an eye, he had exceeded five meters in height, his brown fur growing wild. He had transformed into a true giant bear.

Even the giant bear, standing over five meters tall, was still insignificant before the Titan Great Ape. It seemed indifferent to the situation.

Seizing the opportunity, Zhao Wuji's Spirit Rings shone again, and with all his strength, under the boost of Ning Rongrong, his palms struck with tremendous force.

The Titan Grrat Ape grew impatient, letting out a deafening roar. A layer of black energy surged from its entire body. It slapped Zhao Wuji away with a disdainful swipe, then angrily stomped on him, obliterating his martial soul's true form. It didn't even bother to look at him but instead widened its eyes, searching for something.

Oscar, with a pale face, handed out mushroom sausages to everyone. He looked at Zhao Wuji with sadness. Only Zhou Hao still held Zhu Zhuqing's hand contentedly, completely unfazed. However, he truly admired Zhao Wuji's courage and strength.

Finally, the Titan Great Ape locked its gaze on this side. It leapt into the air like a mountain, causing trees to topple and wither. 

Zhao Wuji stared blankly as it happened, his heart filled with icy despair. It was over.

With a loud bang, the majestic figure stood in front of the Shrek team, like a gigantic granite wall.

Dai Mubai's third soul ring instantly shone, activating the White Tiger Vajra Transformation. He knew he couldn't escape, but his ferocity was ignited. Even if he died, he wanted to take a bite of flesh off it.

Ma Hongjun's expression also became serious. He spewed out a mouthful of flames, directly burning towards the area below the Titan Ape. He, like Dai Mubai, wanted to set off a firework before his death.

Tang San was like a hen protecting its cubs, even though he was thin, he still had the aura of seeing death as home.

The Titan Great Ape looked disdainful, completely ignoring the desperate struggle of these ants. It extended its right arm, reaching towards the crowd.

As the giant hand grabbed, Oscar didn't have time to think. He threw himself at Ning Rongrong, disregarding his own safety. Tang San's purple eyes flashed, and countless Blue Silver Grasses tightly protected Xiao Wu behind him.

Zhou Hao knew that all resistance was futile. His third soul ring suddenly glowed, and he simultaneously embraced Zhu Zhuqing's slender waist. With a forceful stomp of his right foot, he retreated backwards.

The Titan Great Ape had a clear target—it headed straight for Xiao Wu. The explosive shockwave instantly overturned everyone, and Tang San's desperate resistance was easily crushed. It held the girl gently in its palm and, with a few leaps, disappeared into the depths of the forest.
