Tang San POV

My name is Tang San, I live in Holy spirit village with my father who is a blacksmith and likes to indulge most of the time in drinks, so I have to take care of the cooking and household chores by myself. You want to know what I'm doing right now I'm reading books for some reason my father has lots of books on medicinal herbs than the whole village combined. My father once told me not to tell anyone about the books and I really liked them so I started learning about them pretty early.

I'm 5 years old now people of our continent have something like soul spirits which we awaken at the age of 6. It is a year away but I'm excited about what soul spirit I will awake. I do read books most of the time but I also go out from time to time to collect these medicinal herbs from the foot of the mountain father doesn't stop me so I think he doesn't mind about what I do, don't get me wrong it's not like that he doesn't care about me or anything but for some reason, he doesn't like to show his emotions to the fullest. I'm planning to go down the mountains to collect some herbs which are out of stock.

I was collecting the herbs then suddenly a boy collapsed from running right in front of me he doesn't even have the strength to cry out for help I think he is unconscious he had bloodstains all over his body and there are multiple visible injuries I can't think of any reason of why he had those injuries. I brought it in my house and started treating his wounds.

"Xiao San who is he?"

"Father I found him in the mountains he collapsed from exhausting himself from running and he had wounds all over his body I thought he would die if I left him there so..." I explained to my father but in response, his eyebrows narrowed

"I'm sorry father I should have asked you"

"Get the hot water ready and make a paste of those herbs"

"yes father"

it's been 3 days since I brought that boy from the mountains father said he is in no apparent danger and his wounds are starting to heal the reason for his unconsciousness can be fatigue from his last encounter to whatever he has been through. I was somewhat worried he looked the same age as me.

Xiang Chen POV
