Soul Land 3: Dagger God Douluo

The day before his spirit awakening, Xie Xie has a dream. A dream of another world called Earth, a dream of another life. On that same day, a power awakens within him. The Anime Compendium of Martial Arts. The MC will be very strong for his age, but not overpowered. He will still have to struggle, train, and preserve through hardships to gain his power. He will not have any knowledge of any of the Soul Land books. Also, he will retain his core personality, as his 'dream' of another life is more akin to watching a movie than experiencing a whole other life, so he will still mostly act his age. Finally, he will have a very close relationship with Tang Wulin. As the story develops, they will become closer, and their dynamic would be more like the one between Killua and Gon than a Goku and Vegeta one. No Yaoi. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Soul Land novels, nor do I own the cover. Basically, I don't own anything in this fanfic. Just like how I don't own my house anymore because my ex-wife Karen took it when she took the kids. P.S: This is my first time novel/fanfic, just trying to improve. Put constructive criticism in the comments or reviews, please cut me some slack.

Xie Xie and Wulin vs Upperclassmen and Xie Xie vs Gu Yue

Today, I woke up early, meaning that I didn't have to learn to the blaring of that shitty alarm. That also meant that I had time to go grab breakfast with Wulin. He went ahead to the cafeteria first, while I had to dress up first.

It took me a bit longer to dress up because of my semi-broken arm. It healed quite a bit, but it was still had to be rather careful, or else the pain would flare up once again. However, it wasn't to an extent where I couldn't balance myself using my arms for [Re-Taekwando].

After finishing my daily routine quickly, I ran over to catch up with Wulin. However, once I saw him, he was surrounded by a group of seniors, lying on the ground. There seemed to be 5 lackeys surrounding him, along with 2 on the ground, and the ringleader, some ugly hoe, being in the center. As I was walking towards them, I heard the girl speak.

"I am Mu Xi of fifth grade's class one. I want to compete with you in forging. If you have any desire to continue studying in this academy, then you can't decline." How interesting. I saw Wulin glare at her with an unusual amount of dislike for someone like him, and I decided to step in. I honestly tuned out the first sentence she spoke, so I don't know her name.

"Oh? And who are you to decide who can study in the academy, you ugly bitch?" As soon as she heard my voice, she glared at me with immense hatred and disdain. As her lackeys began to get riled up, she spoke.

"You shouldn't have gotten involved with this, or said what you just did. I'll give you five seconds. If you don't bow down to me right now and beg me to let you go right now, you should forget having a nice time in the academy." How cliche. I already had resolved to fight her, but seeing her common lines made me want to laugh.

"Hahaha. That's a funny joke. But why don't you and your 'clients' over there go and get a room to vent your sexual frustration instead of taking it out on my friend?" She seemed to take a while to process what I said before her expression turned into one of even more intense hatred.

"D-did you actually just call me a prostitute?"

"Oh wow, you finally figured it out! I thought it would take longer, considering the fact that your brain size is tinier than the cocks you suck for money."

This enraged both her and her henchmen, causing all of her lackeys to come at me at once. I smirked, before using [Breath of the Sun: Total Concentration Breathing] to enhance my physical abilities and using [Observation Haki] to keep track of my opponents.

I performed an [Arang], elbow smashing the first one coming at me, before using a [Rising Back Kick] to dispatch the one coming at me from behind. I performed 2 more [Arangs] on the ones coming from my left and right in quick succession, causing one to keel over, and the other to be sent flying into a wall.

The ugly whore finally activated her spirit, causing two fireballs to come straight at me, as the last lackey came running at me from the front. I quickly used [Soru] to grab the lackey and shove him into both of the incoming fireballs, burning him.

I gave her the biggest shit-eating grin I had, before walking towards her slowly, for intimidation purposes of course. She sent a multitude of small fire bullets at me, causing me to use my [Observation Haki] to dodge each of them, while still advancing on her slowly.

My slow advance caused her to panic, making her send a giant fireball at me to try to finish me. At that moment, I had a crazy idea. I used [Arnament: Hardening] to reinforce my daggers and my arms, before slicing through the fireball and using the reinforcement block any extra pieces of flame coming at my way. And I did it with only one arm, due to my other being broken. I'm such a fucking badass, aren't I?

Finally done flexing on a hoe, I used [Bo-bup] to re-appear in front of her, before one-shotting her with a [Arnament: Hardening] reinforced [Soksa], a knee to the face. Damn, that was fun. I doubt this was even a fraction of the fun Madara had when creaming the Shinobi Alliance, though. Speaking of which, I'm adding another goal to my list: to eventually be able to be as badass as Madara. Probably never going to happen, but hey, a man can dream.

"Hey Wulin, you alright? I fucked em up for you, so don't worry." He gave me a smile, before opening his mouth to speak. However, before he could respond, Wulin and I were both immediately picked up by a tall figure, and brought into the office of the Teaching Director, Long Hengxu.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a while of waiting, I, Wulin, the ugly bitch, and her lackeys were all gathered in the Teaching Director's office. He was pacing around, with an expression of complete frustration and exasperation.

"Out with it! Exactly what happened?"

Ugly whore, who I'll be calling Rachel for now, since they're practically identical, responded with her head lowered. "I and my friends were just looking for Tang Wulin to have a forging competition with me. Then the brown-haired kid suddenly appeared, calling me a prostitute, and assaulted us."

What a lying bitch. I immediately opened my mouth to rebuttal. "Oh, that's what happened, is it? Don't forget who ambushed Wulin on the way to the cafeteria, pushing him to the ground, you dumb fucking street whore. In fact, you guys were the ones who threw the first punch against me. All I did was tell you to back away from Wulin, then I made a small joke. Maybe you should take anger management classes, you STI-ridden cunt."

Long Hengxu sighed even more, while Rachel and her sugar daddies tried to begin speaking. The Teaching Director cut her off, before turning to Wulin and saying, "What about you? From witnesses, I heard that you're the one who acted first. What's your explanation?"

Wulin's eyes still contained its gentle appearance, but they brimmed with resolution. "When I was just a child, my dad instilled some principles into me. He told me that if he found out I was bullying my underclassmen, he would ruthlessly lecture me. However, if the older students bullied me, then I should hit them back without any hesitation, and he wouldn't blame me at all. So I fought back when they tried oppressing me. To add to that, Xie Xie shouldn't be blamed either, since he was just standing up for me, as a good friend does."

After Wulin finished his speech, another voice came from the doorway. It spoke, declaring in a cold voice, "Well said! I don't think either of my students has done anything wrong either."

Long Hengxu's expression turned sourer than a bag consisting of only the powder from the Sour Patch Kids. He reprimanded Wu Zhangkong for not knocking, causing him to reply with the most insincere apology to ever be spoken.

Then, my teacher turned to our seniors, before reprimanding them. "The big taking advantage of the small, huh? You guys sure have some skill!"

Rachel, whose real name I still don't know, responded, saying, "It's not the big taking advantage of the small! Actually, it was unfair for us! The brown-haired kid was able to take us all out easily!"

I snorted at her response, barely holding back a laugh. I gave a cold smile, before immediately giving a rebuttal to her earlier statement. "That's just the fault of your incompetence. As seniors, you shouldn't be picking on frail little juniors like us. You not being able to defeat me is just because you're completely fucking weak and all of you have 0 IQ. In fact, you probably tried provoking Wulin with the mindset that you were stronger, and that he was much weaker. It's honestly quite funny how you try to pick on the weak, but once one of the weaklings turns out to be stronger than you, you say it was unfair for you. How pathetic!"

All of them gritted their teeth, but ultimately accepting their loss in the argument due to the fact that they knew what I was saying was true. Teacher Wu gave me an appreciative look before continuing his earlier lecture. "Well said, once again! Even though I believe that my students would easily be able to defeat you, if I find that you provoked them again, I'll be the one to take advantage of the weak, and beat up the teacher in charge of your class!"

This angered Long Henxu, causing him to furiously shout, "Teacher Wu! Please conduct yourself with dignity!"

In response, Wu Zhangkong pulled out one of the most badass quotes I've ever witnessed in person, telling him that, "If you can beat me, then I'll act with dignity." Holy shit. That was honestly pretty hot, 0 homo. Like no homo. At all.

Anyways, after saying that, Teacher Wu grabbed my head with one hand and dragged Wulin with the other, leaving the teaching building. After releasing both Wulin and me, he walked in front of us, going straight to our classes.

Wulin chased after him, thanking him for the help. Teacher Wu responded indifferently, telling him, "You didn't do anything wrong, so there's no reason to thank me. No one is allowed to delay my classes."

I caught up with both of them, also speaking to Teacher Wu. "Thanks for the help, Teacher Wu. The way you shut up that teacher was absolutely badass! I've decided. If I can one day be that badass, I won't care what kind of hellish training you give me!"

I instantly regretted saying that though, when Teacher Wu responded with a cool, "Remember your words." I can already tell I'm going to pay for that statement.

After hearing my exchange with Teacher Wu, Wulin seemed to remember me, because he pulled on my arm, beginning to speak. "I have to thank you too, Xie Xie! You've always been helping me, whether it be buying me a phone, or defending me from those seniors. I haven't really had many friends, but out of all of them, you're the best one!" He smiled brightly, beaming at me. That... was honestly pretty touching. Due to my vulgar-ass mouth, and weird personality, I've also never really had a friend my age.

At a loss for what to say, I just gave him an awkward response. "Uh... yeah. Don't worry about it. That's what friends are for, right?" He gave me another grin and nod before we both ran after Teacher Wu.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once we got to the class, Wulin and I were immediately assigned two metal shirts each weighing ten kilograms to run with. For both Wulin and me, the weight was negligible, but to our classmates, they were shivering in fear that they might have to do the same thing as us. It's not surprising that I wouldn't feel the weight much. After all, I've trained with much heavier weights than this.

To actually get real benefits out of this exercise, I maintained [Total Concentration Breathing: Breath of the Sun] all throughout the training. However, while this would have made me out of breath within the first few laps earlier, I was already on the threshold of [Total Concentration Breathing: Constant].

While this type of speed would be prodigious in the Demon Slayer World, it is to be expected that I would be able to grasp it faster, due to the heightened physical capabilities all Spirit Masters have. Their lungs were naturally stronger and more adaptable, allowing breathing techniques like these much easier to train and execute. While I was thinking, I finally noticed something. Without knowing it, both Wulin and I had already reached the 10th lap, while most of our other classmates were still on their fifth.

As Wulin and I were leisurely talking under the shade, a girl walked through the gates leading to the field from the direction of the academy building. She seemed to be around the same age as me, and she didn't seem to be particularly beautiful. She had black hair and black eyes, and everything but her aura seemed to be pretty average.

As she arrived at the field, Wu Zhangkong spoke first. "What class are you in?" Her gaze seemed to stray to me and Wulin, however, mostly focusing on Wulin.

After staring at Wulin for a bit, she responded to Wu Zhangkong. "I'm here to attend school. However, I was told that the registration period has already passed."

Wu Zhangkong's expression changed, causing him to ask her, "You're not an Eastsea Academy student?"

"I'm not a student at the moment, but I still want to be a student here. Is that possible, teacher?" Wu Zhangkong seemed to ponder it for a moment, before deciding on something.

"This is a Soul Master's academy. If you want to attend here, then you must have the ability," he replied.

"I can take a test," the girl responded.

"Alright then. What's your name?"

"My name is Gu Yue."

Wu Zhangkong nodded in acknowledgment. Turning around, he called me over. "Xie Xie. You enjoy fighting, right?"

His question confused me, but I responded nonetheless. "Of course! Fights are fun as hell, and they always give me that rush, you know?"

He stared at me weirdly once again, before responding. "Alright then. You can fight this girl. Test whether she's good enough to join the academy. We'll start whenever you want."

I gave him my trademark feral grin, replying. "I'm ready right now! That exercise barely even warmed me up."

Gu Yue seemed to stare at me, analyzing me, before resting her eyes on my semi-broken arm. Immediately after seeing that, her cautious demeanor seemed to completely change, disregarding me in favor of scanning her surroundings. It seemed she thought I wasn't a threat due to my broken arm.

It's pretty annoying to be looked down upon, but it'll make it much easier for me to win. Teacher Wu searched both of our gazes, before declaring, "Start!"

My [Observation Haki] was telling me this woman was dangerous, so I decided to carefully analyze her before making a move. Still vigilant, I activated [Breath of the Sun: Total Concentration Breathing: Constant], which I had finally acquired after the recent warmup.

Releasing my [Shadow Dragon Dagger], I decided to probe her capabilities by sending a few shurikens using [Duplication] and [Re-Forging]. She was quite startled by the invisible shurikens, causing her to put up an earth wall. It seems her spirit allowed her to control Earth.

That's alright though, that means I just have to stay wary of anything popping up from the ground. Alternating between [Soru] and [Bo-bup] I kept instantaneously moving in an irregular fashion. Finally arriving behind her with a [Bo-bup], I quickly stabbed at her with my dagger.

However, she startled me using a move I didn't expect, sending a fireball at me, causing me to flip away from it using the [Feline Style]. How annoying. It seems that this chick can control different elements. I'll have to be on guard from now on since I don't know whether she can only control a few elements or all of them.

Dashing from side to side using my natural speed, combined with my breathing technique, I used my [Advanced Uchiha Shurikenjutsu] along with [Observation Haki] to send out 10 different invisible shurikens, all bouncing off of each other, and heading straight at her in an irregular motion.

She once again blocked them, 5 with Earth and 5 with Wind. However, I anticipated this due to her previous attacks, causing me to come from behind, sending a [Hwechook] straight at the back of her head. She was able to avoid the blow, by enhancing herself with the wind and running into a portal, allowing her to make some distance.

From her expression, I could tell that she had already expected to win by now. Deciding to go on the offensive, she sent a multitude of ice and fire at me. I managed to avoid all of them except one, due to my leg being caught in a hole she created.

She gave me a smirk, thinking I would get finished by the fireball. Well, she thought wrong, as I used [Arnament: Hardening] on my dagger to slice through the fireball, before getting my leg unstuck, and dashing straight for her.

She tried disorienting me with a concentrated blast of light, but it was useless, as I had my [Observation Haki] to rely on. She put up a wall of Earth, barely blocking my strike, before retreating, sweat pouring down her face.

I could tell she was getting off-balance and panicking, so I used the [Reforge] + [Duplication] + [Emiya Archery] combo to send an invisible arrow at her. She tried altering its course with a little bit of wind, but was startled when it morphed back into a dagger mid-flight, causing her to jump away, landing a bit off-balance.

Using my [Observation Haki to predict where she would land, I used an [Arnament: Hardening] reinforced [Soru] and [Bo-bup] combination to land right next to where she would land. She tried turning and opening another portal, but she was already off-balance, allowing me to land a clean [Arnament: Hardening] reinforced [Hwechook] to the side of her head, causing her to fly through the air, before eventually hitting a tree and stopping.

Teacher Wu called the match, finally declaring it my win. As Gu Yue got back up, he spoke. "Good job on the win, Xie Xie. However, I could tell that you assumed that she had an Earth-controlling Martial Spirit at the start, allowing you to get caught off guard by that fireball. If you had stayed wary, you would have been able to dodge the fireball while still being able to counter. And you, Gu Yue. While you didn't win, that was an adequate performance. Before I allow you to join Class 5, however, I need to know your background as well as your martial soul."

While she still looked a bit disgruntled by her loss, she handed Teacher Wu a paper, before explaining. "This is a recommendation letter from my elementary academy. And as for my martial soul, it is Elementalist. It allows me to control all six elements, but I am unable to attach my soul ring onto any of them. Thus, although I can control them, it is hard to strengthen them. As for my first soul skill, it is Elemental Tide. It allows for my soul power to hold on for a long period of time, and at the same time, allowing me the ability to better control the strength of the elements."

Due to her description of her martial soul, everyone was amazed. Honestly, controlling all of the elements? That's absolutely fucking broken, man. Following her explanation, Wu Zhangkong finally continued. "Good. I understand. You are now a part of our class, 1st Year Class 5."

[A/N: Please check the Creator's Thoughts in each chapter. I usually put some more information there. Also, I always ask for my reader's opinions there, such as whether Xie Xie should learn different weapons styles.

Damn. I brought out a big chapter this time. I think the only thing bigger than this chapter in the world is my ginormous dong. Also, we finally hit 15k words total! Yay!

Jokes aside, please comment shit, such as whether he should learn different weapon styles, and a different title for the story, cause the current one is complete booty.
