Viona stared at Lilly, who was asleep. Lilly smiled in her sleep, which was infectious as Viona smiled too to see her pup.
"She's gorgeous, Viona."
Viona placed Lilly on the baby's bed. After placing a blanket around Lilly's tiny body, Viona glared at Jock. "Not enough to kill my husband and my oldest daughter; you want to have my youngest daughter too. What are you? You are even worse than an animal!"
"Viona, please. The moment I saw Lilly, I loved her already. I have announced her as my pup, and everyone loves her. So, next week, please return to my house. As mates, we should live in the same house."
"No!"
"Viona, be reasonable."
"It's you who started this. Don't ask me to be reasonable when a killer of my beloved ones wants to snatch my pup too." Viona pointed her finger to Jock's face. "I hate you! I won't forgive you!"
