'I did. I loved your mother. But my grief was because I thought I lost the love of my life.' Ryan let out a sigh. 'The truth is your mother has never loved me as much as Imelda does. I always thought it was my mistake, that I couldn't make her love me as much as I wanted.'

Ryan shook his head. 'I might be more foolish than you as I looked at the outer appearance more than what was inside. I denied my heart because my eyes saw how pretty Vivian was.' He sighed.
