Chapter 32: Killing It
Rick's POV
It had been a week since Max had given us the latest warning to cease and desist our investigations. I wasn't about to let some asshole vampire tell me what to do, and neither was Alexis.
That's where Tim came in. Tim had no last name. I wasn't even sure if Tim was his real first name. What I knew for sure was that he was the best hacker in the business, expensive, but worth it. I had used him before to gain intelligence on rival packs in our area.
I'd sent Tim on a fact-finding mission to find out whatever he could about Asher. And he was here in our office to give us the intel.
"It isn't good news," Tim informed us grimly from across Alexis's desk, opening a thick manila folder and facing the contents toward us. "Asher is a vampire, but that's the least of your worries."
