As soon as he drove off, she broke down and screamed, not able to bear the pain silently any more. She cried her heart out for the days of shame and guilt she endured over the years. She cried because she always dreamed of the day he would finally take accountability and apologize to her. And leave her be.

She was deeply hurt by what had happened, but she was even more hurt that he was walking out of her life. Why did him leaving not make things better? Her heart broke all over again after hearing him say those words. They sounded final. Was he... was he done with her?

She loved him. As much as she tried to deny and ignore it, she was in love with him and she didn't want him to leave her. But she felt like she was betraying herself for harbouring feelings for him. How could she fall in love with someone she claimed to hate? Someone she was supposed to feel hatred for?
