Chapter 29- Floor 1: He's an ally!

"Return the scepter or I would be forced to attack you. "

Thor undoubtedly was wary of this new being who outwardly seemed like any other human, present on this planet yet the feat he was accomplishing in real time was something that suggested otherwise.

However, the mystic weapon he possesses is not something to play with which mandated the God of Thunder to have it back before something foolish once again comes under play. Loki has already hampered many things Thor held dear to him, that golden toy would be devastating in the hands of someone who was not a divinity.

However...

"Not happening. Not until I don't want to. "

The boy replied so nonchalantly that made Thor's brows twitch in disbelief and annoyance. The boy didn't even bother to turn toward God when he responded. Though Thor understood that earthlings don't have the courtesy to greet a deity like him, it doesn't mean Thor would neglect such disrespect as well.

Not when the human was hunting more aliens than Thor could have in such a brief period. It was hurting Thor's ego.

"Then pay..."

Thor rotated his hammer and planned to slam a decent amount of lightning over the boy, only to stop himself as a familiar armored face appeared in front.

"Step aside, Tony. This is not something you should be meddling with. "

"Oh yeah? And what after that? Listen, blondie, if you have any grudge you need to quell, do it after we stop this mess since that guy is a much-needed ally. "

It was a little surprising for Tony to speak with such maturity in a while and more so when he was able to put his trust into someone nearly stranger...

However, Thor still looked reluctant to not do anything with the unknown entity who might pose more threat than these invaders. But soon his stubbornness was subdued when Tony voiced his thoughts on the matter.

"You were not able to save the earth from being swarmed so at least don't stop the one who is trying to protect it. "

Thor's grip on his hammer tightened upon hearing that, but not in anger at Tony but rather in frustration at his irresponsible act toward Loki. Because of the soft side he still possesses for his brother, Thor overlooked and underestimated the God of mischief, which resulted in what was happening every second now when he was hanging in mid-air, pondering over his decisions.

Earth was his realm to protect yet...

"You. "

Thor redirected his gaze back to the boy who continuously was using his versatile weapon and fighting styles to ward off the aliens before the God of Thunder voiced the warning required to ensure any further threat.

"Once this is over, I want that scepter. Either way, if you like, I would snatch that weapon from you. "

Tony stared at the boy as well, while his shoulder patch released small projectile missiles on the upcoming horde. The boy remained motionless for a moment before nodding and continuing his onslaught.

'Great... 'Tony sighed inwardly.

Afterward, all the Avengers minus Bruce began to engage in battle and evacuation of the public actively. Natasha also joined Captain America to deal with the remnants of invaders who drop on the streets.

Natasha and Steve both were enhanced humans and held a variety of skill sets to deal with the aliens until they are not huge in numbers. Those who were packed in heavy quantity were either bisected near the entrance by the first line of defense or by Thor who was electrifying the skies and providing a spectacle of eternity.

Ironman and Hawkeye were the much-needed support who ensured that no airship escapes a certain jurisdiction and evade human society further from the warzone. It would be disastrous.

The battle was going all too well as all the defense units were working exponentially well in their distinctive field.

However, soon peace seemed like an unreachable dream as a mighty roar resonated from the other side of the portal, followed by a colossal beast with a steel maw levitating to this side of the portal, alarming everyone present underneath.

"Captain...do you see that?" Clint's voice responded to which Steve dazedly responded, "Yeah...but can't believe my eyes."

The leviathan was releasing the alien soldiers from its massive body and ensuing destruction from wherever it floated by.

Suddenly the feeling of helplessness was mutually felt by most of those spectating the beast as they preyed on their god to survive this day.

"We need a super angry Hulk immediately. Has anyone spotted Banner yet?"

Tony's query was justifiable since other than Thor and Hulk no one seemed capable of dealing with the threat in the team. Steve and Natasha did not have any clue about Doctor Banner but before they could have made any call in negative, something unexpected transpired.

**GRUOOOGH**

Black flash danced all over the Leviathan like some other version of Thor descended before the monstrosity was broken in half?!

"Fuck...that kid can do that as well? "

Tony muttered to himself but it was heard by everyone on the line, affirming that the blindfolded guy was the reason why that thing was now in the middle of falling dead to the ground.

"Stark, we need to destroy it before that thing lands on the tower! "

Steve was informed that the building just beneath the leviathan was heavenly populated and evacuation was still under process. The two halved parts of the leviathan would surely take hundreds of lives if they don't do anything.

But soon their worry faded as suddenly a black whirlpool engulfed the two halves entirely like it was some kind of black hole. Clint squinted his eyes and found that the teenage boy suddenly got a red bottle in his hand just after he absorbed the beast into that small portal.

'What is that... '

There was no time to ponder since the threat hasn't been negated as Hawkeye once again began targeting his prey and landing a barrage of arrows with inhumane precision.

[Meanwhile, with Haru]

'Damn....this inventory and exchange store is dope.'

Initially, I thought to use my skill to throw the leviathan into an endless lapse blue but soon I changed my thoughts and after breaking it, I threw the remnants into inventory and bought a mana restoration high-grade potion in return.

I was not low but surely it has taken some portions away, so to check the credibility of the product I went with the basic requirement of my body.

'Yuck...strawberry... '

The taste was shit but the warmth I felt upon downing the potion gave me enough compensation to rely on this store from now on.

I checked my kill-o-meter bar and found I was still 600 kills away. Leviathan gave me a boost of kills which made me excited for more.

'Well, Cap and Natasha would take care of the people and Loki would grant me many more Leviathan to deal with...'

I cracked my knuckles and got ready for more action when suddenly...

[Ding! ]

[A side quest has arrived!]
