Chapter 1 : Death at Shanhai - part 1

Shanhai Building had forty floors. It was one of the most popular places nowadays to arrange parties there. The top floor was only for VIP members where a pool party was currently being held at night. On this top floor there was also a penthouse that housed a bar and restaurant for the VIP guests.

At the same location, on the penthouse balcony above the pool were two people. A pretty young woman was pushed against the railing as a young man kept kissing her neck while restraining her arms in his powerful hands. Li Mo tried pushing the man off her but he was too strong. She glared at the man with hatred. No matter how much she loved that handsome face before now looking at possessiveness in his eyes she just wanted to rip him into shreds! All she could do was save herself from being eaten up until her saviour comes.

The balcony door was opened with a bang and a young man entered running and panting. He wore a loose white short tucked in his light blue pants and a matching blazer over it. He had a gorgeous face with blue eyes that matched the dyed streaks of blue in his long hair that was tied up in a ponytail that reached his waist.

Li Mo was excited that her call had finally been answered. She slapped the face in front of her that was trying to steal a kiss and shouted, "Nian"

The man holding her body turned back angrily to look at the intruder. The intruder named Han Ling Nian growled, "Xuan Kai, release her! Now!"

Xuan Kai glared at him, "Who are you to say this? Get lost when I'm being kind."

Seeing that Ling Nian didn't say anything or budge but kept looking at him with a cold expression. Xuan Kai was annoyed and walked towards to kick him out. At this time, Li Mo was just released from his grip slipped and fell backwards over the railing. Ling Nian who saw this scene before Xuan Kai ran towards the railing. He stepped over the seating to catch her but by the time he held her hands, they were already falling twenty feet down into the swimming pool.

By the time Li Mo reacted they were already falling from the balcony. She closed her eyes tightly and hugged Ling Nian as they fell into the swimming pool below, causing heaps of water to splash all around. This surprised all the guests at the party as they all surrounded the pool hurriedly. The other people in the pool also tried looking for who fell inside but before they could dive underwater to check. They suddenly saw a spray of blood floating to the surface. Falling from such a height it was a miracle to at least have an intact body.

The attendants in the party quickly called the ambulance and tried calming down the crowd.
